Lucha Libre

Dinner date with Danielle to Lucha Libre. It's been a couple of years now since I last went & I've never been for dinner only for lunch. We got the Tortilla Chips with Guacamole to share. I got the BBQ chicken burrito & Danielle got the halloumi & pineapple burrito.

My burrito was nice but I think it was cos I was hungry. I didn't like the green rice & didn't feel like there was enough BBQ sauce on the chicken. Could definitely done with more sauce. Danielle wasn't a fan of the green rice either & thought hers was a bit sickly with the halloumi. The nachos & guacamole was good though! I think I'll have to go back & try the quesadillas & churros!

Ghetto Golf

Another belated post from last Friday when we went to Ghetto Golf after work for Jacq's leaving thing. He's going to Camp America for the summer & I am So jealous. I really need to do something like that at some point.

A load of us went after work to Ghetto Golf - crazy mini golf with cocktails. We were in groups of around 3/4. I'm super competitive but golf really isn't my sport as I did lose my ball on the first hole. It fell off the course so I had to get another ball which was 6 points already for me. But I actually did alright & drew with Kelly on my team somehow. Carl won in our team only by 3 points as he did get a hole in 1 so I wasn't that annoyed at not winning.

The cocktails are pretty good in there, I got Aki's Protein Juice - coconut rum, peach juice, mango puree, lemon juice & Rubicon mango juice. Which is my ideal cocktail coconut & mango. I think the L'orange Bandit was nice as well but I actually can't remember. Apocalypse Cow bbq opened the night we were there serving all bbq food.

We stayed there till quite late then went over the road to The Baltic Social for a drink. Most people had left by then & it ended up with just the 4 of us me, Kelly, Jacq & Melissa who ended up in town. I was meant to be getting the last bus home but ended up staying out as my parents are away so might as well stay out. Jacq was meant to be going at 10. He was in work the next morning for 7am & left at half 1 & I left not long after him. Got in at 2:15am eating granola out the box..

Don't know how I even manged to stay out that late when I left the house at 7:20am for work, I'm usually in bed for 10:30! It was also the hottest & sweatiest day ever walking from work the other end of town all the way down to the Baltic Triangle I just wanted a shower! In trainers with my backpack with my lunch box & all my crap I have in it! But it was a good night, I hope Jacq enjoyed it & wasn't too hungover for work!

Miss you Jacq work is so quiet & weird without you! Hope you're having an amazing time at camp!

Tokyo Noodle Bar

Super belated post from over a week ago now. Been super busy working, spent the week filming for Cold Feet was only in the normal day job on Tuesday this week! It's been so fun a lot of travelling & long days but I've loved it! Really don't want to go back to the boring day job tomorrow :(

I had to emergency shop with Danielle to get some new clothes as I was filming on bank holiday Monday for Cold Feet. I was running out of outfits to throw together as I didn't want to wear the same things again as I've already done 2 other filming that consisted of 6/7 outfits. Then needed 5 for Monday! There's only so many different ways I can wear things without it getting boring..

Unfortunately I didn't end up getting anything as the shops were rubbish! I did want this dinosaur tee I saw online from Zara but they didn't have it in store & it was sold out online. Danielle luckily had it in her basket on her phone & just ordered a load of stuff & managed to get me it!

I love it & Danielle got the green t-rex one which I can't get a photo from the website as it just keeps coming up with this one. But if you search "dinosaur" on the Zara website you'll be able to see it. I didn't actually end up wearing this on Monday but I did wear it on Wednesday & Friday. The other days I made do with wearing some stuff I've worn before & changing some things up. I can't wait for Cold Feet to be on in October as it looks like it's going to be a really good series. (Obviously watching it cos I'm in it but it does look good believe me!)

We went to Tokyo for dinner which I haven't been to in a while. It was such for a couple of months as it's had a little revamp. They've changed the name from Tokyou to Tokyo like the capital of Japan. They've also changed the interior with more tables & the menu has changed. You now get to build you own noodles by choosing the noodles, soup & fillings. Still good & cheap (the prices have gone up a little bit but not as much as you'd expect since we have been going there since we were 15/16).

Danielle got the Singapore Noodles

I got Udon Noodles in bone soup with mixed vegetables

If you like Wagamamas but not the price tag I'd recommend Tokyo as it's basically the same but for half the price. Portion sizes are big & all the staff are Asian which you don't get in Wagamamas so that's the authenticity lost already.

I also managed to get Bastille's Record Store Day special edition vinyl Comfort of Strangers. Record Store Day is an annual event that happens on Saturday every April to celebrate independently owned record stores. Different artists & bands make special edition records for it. There's a unique list of releases for each country & are only distributed to shops that are participating.

I'm stupid as I knew for a couple of months that Bastille had made one for it but not until the afternoon of the day did I think to ask Holly & Kelly to go looking for it for me. When I should have asked them early on in the morning when the shops were opening then I would've got it earlier, so I thought it wasn't meant to be as when they went they were obviously sold out. I don't own a record player so it wasn't like I was going to be able to play it. Then I just thought I'd ring around the record stores in town just to chance whether they still had them in stock & 3b Records in town on Slater Street still had a couple so I went straight down from work.

I did get ripped off for it though. Paid £18.99 for it when everywhere else was only selling it for £13.99. I got a notification for a website that was selling it & had it back in the stock with postage for only £1 as well which I should've got then took this one back! Cos £5 is a big different & I haven't opened it since I don't have anything to play it on it's just for show at the moment! I'm glad I've got it though, good start to my vinyl collection!

I've got a bit of back log of posts as I've been busy with work & my parents going to China without me so I've had to fend for myself not had the chance to blog so they're all going to come at once now that I've got some time..
