Last Run

Last run of the year

Did my last run of the year this morning with Jo. A little 5k done before the last gym session of the year.

Post Christmas 5 km on Friday night.

35 runs since the 9th June 2018 when training for the Liverpool Rock n Roll Marathon 2019 started. Should be at least 40+ runs but I was out for nearly 2 months injured which could've only lasted 2 weeks but I just let it drag out. But now that injury is sorted and I have all the right gear there shouldn't be any more set backs. I just need to set a proper plan so I don't go too hard too soon to save my self from being injured again. Slowly build up them miles week by week and I should be able to get that 4 hour time I want.

Sunday 29th May 2019 is quicker than I think for sure as this year has flew by. Training for the full marathon started with green hair and I finished the half marathon in March with green hair. But it's actually been 6 months since I had it dyed back black!

It's been a crazy year but one of the best. I ticked running a half marathon off my bucket list in a time I wanted. Going to be ticking a full marathon off next year also hopefully within the time I want!
Dying my hair green was one of the best decisions I made even though I did have a bit of a breakdown afterwards but green hair Julie was living her best life for sure. Them 4 months were mad and I can't wait for Curfew to start on Sky in the new year. No start date as of yet but it's meant to be early in the year.

Sarah got me an Independent Liverpool Card for Christmas which means plenty more eating and drinking for 2019. The blog will be super busy with all that and marathon updates. 86 posts for 2018 lets beat that for 2019!

Hope you all had a great 2018 and an even better 2019!

Happy New Year!

Christmas 2018

Had such a busy week - Christmas Eve was at Jo and Rich's then Christmas night I was at nanny Wing's, Boxing Day I went to Manchester to my cousin Sindy's and on the 27th I was at my other cousin Tracy's for her house warming. Last night was the only night I was actually at home eating normal food. My mum and dad have been away for Christmas as well they've just got back from a Mediterranean cruise so it was nice to have some normal home cooked food last night and to go back to the gym as I hadn't been since last Sunday morning!

Christmas Night

We had a turkey roast for our Christmas dinner at 6pm. There was 14 of us - missing my mum and dad, Gary, Kirsty and their 2 boys Lucas and Oliver. Should be a full Wing house New Years Day though.

Boxing Day

Boxing day I drove down to Manchester with Lisa to Sindy's.

Rufus

We had a quite posh grown up dinner party at Sindy's. Sindy and Jess made their own sausage rolls and chilli con carne then loads of little bits. Sindy's parents came, older brother Thomas and his little boy Alex. Jess' boyfriend James stayed for a bit before having to leave to get the bus back to London then Sindy's boyfriend James (yep confusing both their boyfriend's are called James!) came back from the Liverpool match.

Don't always see the Cheung's only ever see Jess and Thomas like once a year at Christmas which is a shame we should really catch up more but we're all super busy and Jess lives in London so it's hard to get us all together. But we should definitely have a gathering again at Easter or the summer!

Tracy's finally moved into her house with Chris after buying it 2 years ago! She had a house warming with all the Wing's. Chris' mum and 2 sisters came too. Gavin was playing monopoly so we didn't end up getting home till 12:30am. I was knackered I got back late from Sindy's the night before then was in work and had work the next day. I've been doing short days but I'm like a child I need to be in bed by like 10pm can't hack late nights!

Tracy hasn't got doors in her house yet so I had a really good idea to make a sign with her light box. When someone was in the toilet they would turn the light on that was at the bottom of the stairs to let people know that someone was in it so you wouldn't walk in on them! I didn't think it was going to work really but everyone got onto it and it worked perfectly. She's debating on saving money on doors and just spend it on batteries for the light box instead!

Hope you had a good Christmas! I'm so done with eating now. I was just eating because everyone else was, wasn't hungry or got to the point of being full. Can't wait to get back into a proper routine and go back to the gym. Went on a 5k last night with Jo and was in the gym this morning. Next week the gym will probably be busy with all the "new year new me" people. Let's see how long they last this time!

Christmas Eve

I went to Jo & Rich's last night for Christmas Eve. We had matching Pj's, had some food, played monopoly & watch Venom (yep the best Christmas film..)

Since when was there a flip phone in monopoly??

Jo's brother Will was round too. Rich won some how even though he was the last to start to go round the board as you had to roll a double! I had loads of money then some how ended up with only £5. Will came last, then me, Jacob, Jo and Rich won. I knew before we started I wasn't winning. I'm super competitive but I knew I was never going to win and I'm actually fine with that!

After we watched Venom. Which is such a weird film.

Rich got Jo an Instax camera

Hope yous all have a good Christmas! Off to nanny Wing's later for dinner!

Merry Christmas!

Elf

Went to East Avenue Bakehouse last night for food as it was our annual Christmas catch up with Kelly and David home from London!

It was weird as we booked a table for 4pm but were the only people in the place the whole night. There was more staff than there was us. There was a couple of people coming in buying loaves of bread but no one sat in eating!

Me, Danielle and Kelly got the belly pork roast. It wasn't great. The gravy was basically oil and the food just wasn't nice!

David got the veggie option vegetable wellington

Hannah got the turkey roast

Danielle got the almond cake

Kelly, David and Hannah got the white chocolate bread and butter pudding.

They all got 2 courses and I just got the one cos I did't like any of the deserts. The food wasn't good they're definitely more of a brunch place than dinner. There was loads of little flies flying about as well which is really unhygienic and disgusting!

We exchanged our secret Santa presents and I ended up with these off David!

I mean goals to have a 6 pack right?
The little red phone box bauble is from the Houses of Parliament shop! (David got discount)

We then went to St George's Hall to watch Elf. Luna cinema were showing Christmas films on a giant screen.

I haven't seen Elf in years but don't remember the start being so weird with the cartoon bits! It was nice in there. Thought it was going to be cold but it was really warm in there.
Afterwards we went to the pub for a drink. Me and Danielle left at like 10:30 as she was in work for 7am and I was in work for 10am & was driving.

It's always nice to have a little Christmas catch up together. It's a tradition now that we go for food then go to the cinema to watch a Christmas film. Rubbish that I was in work today just doesn't feel like Christmas! I'm going to Jo & Rich's tonight so hopefully get into the Christmas spirit then!
