Marathon Update

So my last run was on Saturday 29th September which was 7 weeks ago. I've been out injured since then and haven't ran at all. Which is really stressing me out as it's only 6 months until I do the Liverpool Rock n Roll Marathon. As my leg wasn't getting any better I finally gave in and went to see a physio on Friday. Jo and Rich see her so I knew she was going to be good.

Good news is it's nothing serious. The pain is just over use injury. A lot of running and training with a lack of rest in between. She found where the pain was and just massaged the hell out of my leg. My leg is currently very bruised and sore still but she told me I should be fine in about 4 days and should be able to run. If not I need to go back to see her. So I'm hoping I can get back running next weekend. She said it's something really minor and if I went as soon as I got the pain she would've been able to fix me up and I wouldn't be out for this long. I just thought if I left it, it would be fine but clearly not.

I'm so glad it's nothing serious though especially when I went and finally bought a pair of stability running trainers the day before I went to see her. I went to the Real Buzz a couple of months ago and found out I needed stability trainers. I tried these New Balance trainers on but they were £120 which I thought was really expensive and didn't want to pay that much for them and because I was injured it was throwing salt into the wound of having trainers I wouldn't be able to wear so I didn't get them.

I seen them on sportsshoes.com here for £70 so went into the Real Buzz just to try them on again to see if they were right for me before I bought them online. I asked if they priced match other stores as they were selling them full price still but said no. I tried them on and one of the other staff members rang the manager and managed to let me price match and sold them to me for £70 which I was so happy with as online I would've had to pay for delivery. I can't wait to finally be able to run again and get this marathon training up and running as I've definitely got all the gear now but have I got an idea we'll find out soon!

Shopping

Booked the day off work today and went to Cheshire Oaks with Danielle. I did go to the gym in the morning for an hour just to do some cardio. I'm sure everyone will be glad to know I'm finally going to see a physio on Friday so I should hopefully be back running soon!

I went a little crazy in the Nike shop and bought 2 pairs of leggings, 2 sports bras, a top and some compression socks. At what point do Nike sponsor me as I really am a walking Nike mannequin.. Didn't own a sports bra now I own 2! Hi Nike if you wanna sponsor me I won't say no!

Bought some pj pants from Gap as well. I never seem to be able to buy anything when I go to Cheshire Oaks but made the most of it today. Some times you just need to treat yourself. I do wear gym clothes every single day so I can never have too much gym stuff!

It was a successful trip Danielle made a start on her Christmas shopping.

On the way back we went to Crust in Woolton village for dinner.

Porchetta - Porchetta roast pork, caramelised onions

Ravioli Alla Fiorentina - Ravioli, spinach, ricotta, tomatoes
I added chicken.

The food was nice but I should really learn that ravioli is never really filling as you don't get that much but I did help Danielle to eat her pizza as she couldn't eat the full thing to herself.

Crust why have you stopped doing your loyalty card?? Cos this is the 7th time I've been I'm sure you owe me a couple of pizzas or 2...

JD Williams TV Christmas Ad 2018

So I'm in the JD Williams Christmas ad this year as an extra! This was filmed in September in Lytham St Annes and came out about 2 weeks ago. I've not seen the full ad on TV yet but Danielle has. You can watch it on Youtube here. You'll see me 10 seconds in after the woman in lingerie sitting on the chair!

It was fun getting my hair and make up done and given clothes to wear. The only thing that's mine is the jeans everything else they provided.

Behind the scenes of Christmas day on the beach which everyone does in England right?

Blackpool

Finally went to Blackpool after winning Ya Nan's Big Quiz for my birthday on August bank holiday! We won travel and pleasure beach tickets for the day. We replaced Tracy for Jo who drove us there even though we had train tickets booked for us - stupid Northern Rail decided to be on strike so it would have been a nightmare getting there and back if we got the train.

Fully wrapped up ready for the rain and cold!

Holly and Danielle don't do rides so they were left to be bag holders for the day. Me, Sarah and Jo went on Infusion first. After we went on The Big One - Pepsi Max which we queued for 1.5 hours! There was only 1 car that went round with 30 people at a time which took ages as the ride is quite long as well. Wasn't that good really disappointing considering we had to queue that long for it!

After this we went to meet Holly and Danielle who were sat in the cafe to have lunch.

Me, Holly and Sarah got chicken fajitas, Danielle got mac n cheese. Jo got kids fish fingers with wedges and beans. Got nachos to share. The chicken fajitas were nice. Jo's food wasn't good at all would not feed that to my kid!

After Me, Sarah and Jo went on Revolution while Holly and Danielle went through the Chinese maze.

Managed to get Danielle on the Red Arrows Skyforce. It was absolutely pouring down while we were queuing for this but luckily it stopped just before we went on the ride. You're suppose to be able to make yourself do a 360 spin but we just couldn't do it. Don't think we were heavy enough to lean to the side so that was a bit disappointing!

Jo was so close to convincing Danielle to go on the Ice Blast but she ended up going on the Alice in Wonderland ride with Holly. We got the best view up there as we were facing the Blackpool Tower.

It looked so nice in the dark with the lights on! The last ride we went on was Icon which had a really long queue as it was the newest ride that only opened in May but it went really quick only took us half an hour - we were expecting another 2 hour wait. But it was the best and favourite ride we went on. Definitely saved the best till last. We managed to go on all the big rides and even got both Holly and Danielle on a roller coaster - Avalanche!

Got told off for taking this photo of Jo on Avalanche but Holly my personal lawyer - I have a right to take a photo as technically Jo has the rights to the photo as she's in it so I should be allowed to take a photo of it!

We went to maccies before we went home and of course I got an ice cream but it was like really frozen basically ice.

We had the best day even though trying to plan it was a nightmare trying to get a weekend everyone was free and this weekend happened to be the last weekend the theme park was open as well. I blame Camp and Furnace though as they were suppose to get in contact with Sarah as they had all her details but never so Sarah emailed them and just didn't get back to us so I ended up having to ring them to get it all organised. We could have went months ago when the weather was actually nicer. Wasn't a fan of going on the rides in the rain and in my winter puffer coat!

Thanks for driving us there and back Jo! Hope yous all enjoyed yesterday and you enjoyed your first experience in Blackpool Sarah! (She'd never been to Blackpool before yesterday!)
