Booked the day off work today and went to Cheshire Oaks with Danielle. I did go to the gym in the morning for an hour just to do some cardio. I'm sure everyone will be glad to know I'm finally going to see a physio on Friday so I should hopefully be back running soon!

I went a little crazy in the Nike shop and bought 2 pairs of leggings, 2 sports bras, a top and some compression socks. At what point do Nike sponsor me as I really am a walking Nike mannequin.. Didn't own a sports bra now I own 2! Hi Nike if you wanna sponsor me I won't say no!

Bought some pj pants from Gap as well. I never seem to be able to buy anything when I go to Cheshire Oaks but made the most of it today. Some times you just need to treat yourself. I do wear gym clothes every single day so I can never have too much gym stuff!

It was a successful trip Danielle made a start on her Christmas shopping.

On the way back we went to Crust in Woolton village for dinner.

The food was nice but I should really learn that ravioli is never really filling as you don't get that much but I did help Danielle to eat her pizza as she couldn't eat the full thing to herself.

Crust why have you stopped doing your loyalty card?? Cos this is the 7th time I've been I'm sure you owe me a couple of pizzas or 2...

JD Williams TV Christmas Ad 2018

So I'm in the JD Williams Christmas ad this year as an extra! This was filmed in September in Lytham St Annes and came out about 2 weeks ago. I've not seen the full ad on TV yet but Danielle has. You can watch it on Youtube here. You'll see me 10 seconds in after the woman in lingerie sitting on the chair! 

It was fun getting my hair and make up done and given clothes to wear. The only thing that's mine is the jeans everything else they provided.

When in Rome | Part 3

Day 3 - Euroma2 Shopping Mall

As we seen pretty much everything already we ran out of things to do which meant the last 3 days were spent shopping. On day 3 we got the bus to Euroma2 shopping mall which is meant to be the biggest shopping centre in Europe. It is built by the same people who built the Trafford Centre in Manchester. I was pretty excited to go thinking there will be loads of shops & I'll be able to buy loads.

There's 3 floors so it is pretty big but the top floor is the food hall, there's a big supermarket in it. We ended up walking round the whole centre within like half an hour. It really isn't that big, I don't understand how it's the biggest in Europe? I'm sure the Trafford Centre is bigger... It was disappointing. The only good thing was the sushi restaurant called Sushiko where they have a lunch deal €10.90 for unlimited sushi!! It's my dream to have a sushi buffet!! All you can eat sushi!!

I was so happy & full that I was nearly sick! I was in a food coma from the amount of sushi & watermelon I had which I'd been wanting but we couldn't get any since we couldn't cut one! I didn't really pace myself well & was just picking everything & eating it! I felt like I didn't need to eat for the rest of the week! Surprisingly I'm not sick of sushi after this either & still want it!

You could get all different sushis, California roll, salmon, tuna, egg, vegetable, prawns, fried rice, noodles, miso soup, gyoza, different buns, fruit salads. There was so much choice! My mum didn't think it was the best sushi she's ever had but I still loved it.

It was a bit of a rubbish shopping day minus the sushi all I got was a jumper from the Pull & Bear sale which I've already blogged about here. My mum got a t-shirt from the Bershaka sale.

Day 4 - Porta Di Roma

The day after we went shopping again at Porta Di Roma which was pretty far away on the bus to get there, we were falling asleep going there & coming back. This one was smaller than Euroma2 but it had pretty much the same shops the standard European shops of Zara, H&M, Pull & Bear, Bershka & the rest were other European stores we don't have in England & Italian stores. I only got my Zara skirt I wore for my surprise 21st party. My mum got a top in the sale. 

For lunch we got this weird deal, where you got a drink, could choose a salad, choose some hot meat & pasta. The food looked horrible & tasted horrible. But mum & dad seemed to be fine with it. I had a bit of the pasta & the sauce was like water I couldn't eat it.

On the bus back we went to a church Santa Maria Maggiore which isn't far from Termini Station.

This is a running church with nuns & priests walking around compared to the others which are filled with just tourists. There were priests sitting in boxes where people could go to tell them their sins. 

When I walked out some guy came up to me asking to sign a petition to get the Rome government to do something about drugs as he's been clean from cocaine for 7 years now. But I wasn't too sure what he was getting me to sign & then he gave me a clip board that said what it was he was doing so I signed but not with my normal signature as I still wasn't too convinced to what exactly it was & when my mum asked if he wanted her to sign he said no cos I'd already signed it which was weird. Surely the more signatures the better? Still not convinced.

We then went to Termini station & got the bus back to the hotel.

Day 5 - Castel Romano Designer Outlet

The last day we went to Mcarthurglen Castel Romano Desinger Outlet which is like Cheshire Oaks. No buses actually go by there so they do a bus service for €13 return from Termini Station at certain times of the day. It was yet a rubbish shopping day as we ended up buying stuff for my little brother who didn't come with us. The shops were pretty much the same as Cheshire Oaks but don't think there was as many. I finally tried gelato which I was so excited I forgot to take a photo. I got pistachio & raspberry they didn't have coconut. I prefer frozen yoghurt out of all types of ice cream, gelato is very liquidy & melts very quick not ideal in Rome when it's so hot anyway!

We went to Castel Romano Shopping Village across the road. I don't know how they can call is a shopping village there was about 10 shops & 4 restaurants. They had another sushiko restaurant, a H&M, burger king & other random shops. We had lunch at this little food thing that made their own tortillas filled with salami, panchetta, lettuce, salad, ham, cheese.

It was really nice could have it right now! I got panchetta, courgettes & aubergine in mine. My dad got salami & my mum got ham I think. We really liked it wish we could have food like this back here but I think it's more a of a Christmas market stall food.

We got the 5:15pm bus back to Termini station & went for a walk to see things we hadn't already been to see.

This square may look familiar as it's used in quite a lot of films. (I can't think of any right now but it is). A busy roundabout surprised people managed to get to the middle of the fountain!

We then walked to Piazza Barberini.

Spanish Steps

Annoying scaffolding around the fountain at the Spanish steps & the Trinità dei Monti church! I have no idea why they have decided to be doing renovation at the same time for everything! 

We then walked down the designer street which I wished I could go into the shops but couldn't dressed the way I was & not being to afford anything! Torture on two levels there.

I think these shoes are from Armani? I can't even remember which shop widow it is!

These guys were crazy before my mum even got a photo of them they came running up with a dish then pointed to a €2 coin someone had donated to them asking us for money! We just walked away.

We just walked down to the end of the street which led us to Piazza del Popolo. We then walked back to find a restaurant that does lasagne as I really wanted lasagne but it turns out if a place in Rome shows a picture of something it means they don't actually sell it where as if they don't have a picture they probably do. False advertisement at it's finest! It was so annoying considering it's an Italian dish hardly any places did it. We did eventually find a restaurant that had it.

My dad got the small rooster which basically was chicken with a potato on the side. No sauce or anything & it cost €14! Mine was the tiniest slice of lasagne €12! 

We then headed back to Termini station to go back to the hotel.

Not sure what the street was called but that really bright building is Zara & the building next to it! I was stupid & only realised to take a photo of it once I walked past it!

I decided to go into the Givenchy store in the airport & fell in love with this shirt. It's so expensive & out of my budget that it doesn't even have a price on it :(

There was a technical fault which meant we missed our slot to take off leading to a traffic jam! But Rome airport is massive & when we landed we were driving round the airport for ages before we were off the plane! Which is why on your ticket it says it takes longer than what it actually does to get there to count for their massive airport.

That's it all 3 blogspots are up from my 5 days spent in Rome with my mum & dad. I really enjoyed it & loved walking round see the old ruins & monuments not so much the churches though. It is pretty much what you expect Rome to be like but like the Vatican & the Pantheon wasn't though but that was because I didn't want to do any research & be surprised when I seen it. I'd definitely recommend Rome to anyone who loves/doesn't have a problem with walking loads as the city really isn't as big as the tourist map looks! 

I'm still annoyed that most things were covered in scaffolding & it's really silly of them to be doing renovation at the same time to so many different monuments! So I may have to take a trip some time in the future to revisit them when they're not covered in scaffolding! I hope these 3 posts have been useful & informative.
