White Blazer - Mum's Marks & Spencer
Heels - Carvela, Kurt Geiger sale £69
Cube Gold Bangle - L.A.M.B Gwen Stefani given to me from Boots after work experience

2 posts in 1 day! Last night I went to Danielle's mum's 50th birthday party which I mentioned in the last post. I wore my 6th form prom dress which was 2 years ago in July! Wow how time flies! I miss school so much :(
Sadly I didn't get a full outfit photo or one with Danielle! I've put a photo from prom so you can see what my dress looks like & what heels I wore. Danielle wore her year 11 prom dress which was actually 4 years to the date yesterday! I love it's so nice! My year 11 prom dress was also that colour too but different material & from River Island pretty much the same style as this pink dress.
Yes my dress was cheaper than my heels & bag for prom!

After going to every shop around town looking for a white blazer & eventually finding one I came home & find that my mum actually has a white blazer which is really annoying! But I can take the one I bought back.

I had a good night even if Danielle pawned me off with her older (really good looking) brother's friends as I was Danielle's only friend & didn't know anyone there. Kelly was meant to go but she forgot she'd booked train tickets to go to Newcastle to see her boyfriend & uni house friends.
I left at 12:15 as I had to be up at 10 (not really that early but still) to go to work today & I needed my dad to pick me up & he was in work at 10 this morning.

Did you have a good weekend? The weather was pretty rubbish not making it's mind up whether to be nice or not!

I'm a 90s chick

Lunch with Holly

Too hot Holly?
Crop Spotty Tee - Topshop Sale £8
Highwaisted Jeans - Topshop Sale
Shoes - Converse Hi-tops

This tee is the only thing I've managed to buy from the Topshop sale! The one in Liverpool is pretty rubbish I think due to the fact Scousers love Topshop so all the good things have already been sold out & only the rubbish stuff people didn't want to buy made it to the sale to get rid of. I was eyeing this up before it went in the sale & didn't fancy paying £18 for it & knew it'd go in the sale.

We wondered around town as I was on the hunt for a white blazer to wear in the night for Danielle's mum's 50th birthday party. Found one in H&M in the last size 6 for £29.99.
We then pondered for a while trying to decide where to go for lunch as I'm a stinge & don't fancy spending a lot of money on food & can be quite fussy with food. I just like healthy food!
We finally settled on Lucha Libre a little Mexican street food restaurant where we got the lunch deal. Food, tortilla soup & a drink for £6. We didn't know what the food was we just chose different fillings, I chose BBQ rib meat & Holly chose Pil Bil (slow cooked pork marinated in orange juice & achiote). We also had no idea what tortilla soup was but didn't even think to ask..
So when it arrived it was a burger & the tortilla soup was a super spicy tomato soup which was far too spicy for the both of us as we both don't like spicy food! It was nice at first then there's a really really strong kick! The waitress got us some sour cream to try & ease the spicyness but it didn't work & she charged us £1 for it! Turns out we should have stuck to the usual food Holly gets as she goes all the time & we should have asked what tortilla soup was! It would have worked out the same if we just got normal food & a drink as well as we couldn't finish the soup!

Lesson of the day maybe you should stick to what you know! But then you should always try something new otherwise you will never know what to like!

Yestday's weather was weird like Monday's, not as warm but hot & stuffy 22°C with the odd bit of sun.It was suitable legs out weather again after rain for a week.

I didn't do much I just went to the radio to have a meeting with my co presenters on what we need to do to make the show better when we we group as we've been off for about a month now & haven't had a proper group talk altogether. It's meant to be our show be this executive producer Shaun is just changing everything on us supposedly for the better but I'm not a fan but I guess you have to do stuff to please people in the media!

Still no plans for the rest of the week so I'll just see what each day brings hopefully some good new soon!

World Food Dinner!

Last Monday we went to the pub for drinks for Hannah's birthday in which I got ripped off for my drink. Malibu & cranberry £4.90!??!

Anyway Kelly & Carl came up with an idea to get a list of countries then use a number generator to decide which country each person gets, then they would have to cook something from that country. We were just going to do whatever country you got the first time but then decided most countries don't actually eat as they are poor African countries.. So we did a best of 3. I got USA, Kelly got Thailand, Hannah got Singapore, Carl got Brazil & Danielle got Uganda as she couldn't make it I decided she didn't get a choice to say no & got her first option.

So last night we all made our food & took it to Kelly's to eat! Carl didn't make it though.

Thai fish cakes made by Kelly
Hannah serving her Singapore noodles

Danielle would make a rubbish waitress just throwing the food on your plate...

Danielle's Ugandan potato curry with Tilda coriander & lime microwave rice

Perfect chewy coconut cookies!

Baked Vanilla Cheesecake

Leather Jacket - Matalan
Top Plain Black Long Sleeve - Primark
Necklace Layered - Pull & Bear
Shorts - Lee Vintage Mum's
Brown Leather Belt - Vintage Mum's
Shoes - Converse Hi Tops

It was a successful night apart from Carl not being able to make it. The food was nice however it all did taste like curry which I'm not a fan of!

Kelly made Thai fish cakes with cod & vegetables & a soup with coconut milk, chilli & other spices.

Hannah made Singapore chicken, peppers chow mien.
Danielle made ..... & had a bag of Tilda coriander & lime microwave rice.
I made the best cookies I have ever made, coconut cookies & a vanilla cheesecake!
The tip to make chewy cookies is to bake them at 180°C for 5 minutes then turn the tray around & bake for another 5 minutes then take them out of the oven & move them onto a wire rack but if you don't have one use a plate. They should stay chewy afterwards!

Glamour July 2013 Freebie!

I don't really buy magazines, I usually only buy it if there's a freebie. As the latest Glamour July 2013 has a freebie for £1 I thought why not! Even if I'm not gonna read the magazine I'm getting a mascara for only £1 & it's a full sized one, not a sample size! So here is my review of the mascara

I got the ModelCo Fibre Lashxtend Extreme Black Lengthening Mascara £16. With Myleene Klass on the cover of the magazine.
I think the mascara is alright it does what it says, it does lengthen your lashes & the brush is nice & thick. I don't think it's the best mascara I've ever used & wouldn't pay £16 for it but £1 I would recommend it, you might as well try it!
My friend Holly got it too & gave the same review. "Average really does the job but I wouldn't pay £16 for it. It is nice and light which is good."

We both hadn't heard of ModelCo so I decided to do some research on them. They're selling "ModelCo Fibre Lash Brush on False Lashes" which is endorsed by Danni Minogue. It's advertised as "Instant false lashes in a bottle" with mixed reviews on the Boots website which is selling it for £35. You get extension mascara & lash fibre mascara in which you apply a coat of the mascara then the lash fibres & then coat again with the mascara which is meant to give you instant length & volume as if you have false lashes on without all the effort of trying to glue them on. (Which sounds perfect for me as I can't apply false lashes!)
There're 149 reviews on the website with some people saying it's not worth it, doesn't work while others are saying it's amazing & does work. However for £35 it's quite expensive to try it!

But if you want to try some of their other products Glamour are also offering the Lip Illusion Lip Liner with inbuilt sharpener worth £15 which has Zooey Deschanel on the cover. Or you can get the Colourbox Eyeliner with inbuilt sharpener worth £15 or Shine Lipgloss worth £16. All the products are worth £78, but if you could get them all for £5!

Have you tried the mascara or any of the other products? Let me know! :-)

Pharrell

Today was yet again a lovely day, I think yesterday has been the hottest so far but the hottest time of the day was 4pm which is strange because if we were in Spain siesta time would be over!

Top - Pull & Bear
Skirt - Urban Outfitters
Hello Kitty Belt - H&M Kids

Today's outfit is nothing too exciting, everything is old that you can't buy no more! This outfit combination & items have been well over worn! The top is one of my favourites as it has sushi on it & I love sushi! The skirt I wanted for ages then it went on sale for £10 then 10% student discount £9 & the belt is Hello Kitty printed from H&M kids! I've got a white one too but the print is different but Hello Kitty too!
My hair was in a plated bun over night & taken out in the morning & looked like this for about have an hour then went pin straight...

I didn't do much today just caught up with tv I've recorded. I watch the Graham Norton Show from last night well only Robin Thicke & Pharrell's performance of Blurred Lines. I though the one they did on Ellen was better & the audience were better. I also watched The People's Coronation with David Dimbleby as I love the Queen! I really wish I did an interesting degree like the history of the British Monarchy! I would love it so much & probably get a 1st! But it's too late now :(

I went to Ikea with my dad sadly we didn't get anything! But it's still my favourite place to go to!
Tomorrow I'll be going to the park with Holly & Gabby to make the most of the sunshine & it's been a while since Frodo's been to a park. We don't take him because he doesn't get along with other dogs so it's just easier to take him for walks along the road.

Hope you've had a nice weekend & enjoy the rest of it! :-)

Gabby's 20th Manchestaaarrr!

It was Gabby's birthday yesterday so me Holly & Holly's boyfriend Joe went to visit her in Manchester as that is where she is living at the moment for uni! It was actually the first time I've been to visit her this year, oops I'm a rubbish friend...

Yet again the weather was amazing, warm & sunny! A bit of sun always makes the day better!

Vegetarian Chimichenga
I wouldn't recommend this, it wasn't that nice & it was spicy which I wasn't expecting! I do recommend the mushroom fajitas which I've had another time I've been!
Gabby hates attention
Armani
Wasted return train tickets & coach ticket
Shirt - American Apparel Sale last year
Llama Print Pinafore Dress - Topshop
Shoes - Converse Mum bought from Hong Kong last year
Bag - Zara Sale
Sunglasses - Mum's vintage Ray-Ban Wayfarers

Holly's outfit
Top - Topshop Cami
Daisy Print Jeans - Topshop Leigh
Shoes - Dr Martens
Bag - Pin Up Girl Clothing

This is actually the first time I've worn this shirt since buying it from the sale last summer. I bought it then changed my mind & didn't want it but stupid American Apparel have a no returns policy which is stupid! I tried to sell if but no luck so gave in & just had to wear it!

We got the train & arrived at Manchester around 1:30. We went to Gabby's halls then went out to China Town, to the Chinese Bakery then went to the Arndale food court where Holly & Joe got a Taco Bell & Gabby got Subway. We sat for a while then went for a wander around. I finally got my ears pierced again! After wanting to do it for years. We had to watch a little baby girl get her's done. She must've only been about 1? But she was hating it so much, just kept moving & refusing to do it & took ages to do. They did eventually pierce her ears after like trying for 15 minutes but I don't think they should have because she was so distressed & started crying! Poor baby but it doesn't hurt to get your lobes pierced which is why I have each ear pierced 3x! I would love all my ear pierced but my pain threshold is non existent! :(

We then headed back to Gabby's halls, while Gabby went back to freshen up, we went to Tesco to get her a birthday cake to take to the restaurant. We waited for all her flat mates then we all walked to town to go to Las Iguanas. Gabby booked a table for 15 for 7:30 we didn't get there till 8. Our waiter was really snotty & horrible. At the end of the meal you get a card to give your opinion of your meal & visit so one of the girls says he was a twat which he was!

After the meal Me Holly & Joe had to run to the train station but we missed the last train! It just left as we got to the platform! So we had to walk to the coach station & get the last coach back & get a taxi home. Which meant we had to fork out another £7.10 for the coach then £3 each for the taxi home. Right now my bank balance is killing me I really didn't need to waste that extra £10! :'( But at least we did make it home but not till after 12:30!
I don't think I should go to Manchester via train as the last trip I took there last year to visit Carl didn't end well either but I'm not gonna go into that.

Anyway the weather is meant to stay nice over the weekend but rain on Tueday! Need to make the most of it as summer never lasts long in England!
