Thrifty Thursday - Green Stripes!

I'm freeee well until next Thursday! I'm suppose to be revising as I have an exam but I've yet to have looked at anything.. I'm still recovering after writing 7369 words for 3 essays in over a week! I can't believe I actually did it! I was so happy when I handed them in on Monday afternoon! I don't know how well I did I guess I could have done better but I did try & they're done now!

For this exam I have this time next Thursday I actually have nothing to revise from as it's the dreaded awful drugs module.. We didn't get presentations or hand outs in the lectures & seminars so I don't really know where I should be revising from.. I should really start it soon...

It is freeeeezing! As of yet Liverpool hasn't seen any snow! Well there was a bit on Sunday night but it had been raining so it wasn't sticking but I was hoping to wake up to a couple of inches this morning as my phone told there was going to be snow last night...

Obviously it lied to me as always...

I bought this striped shirt from a charity store months ago before Christmas for only £4.55 it's from Next, but this is the first time I've wore it. I was trying different ways to wear it whether I should tuck it into my jeans or not.. but it doesn't make that much of a difference when I wear a jumper on top anyway! I love this jumper, it's the perfect colour & I got it in the ASOS sale before Christmas, they had jumpers like this in Topshop with the zip for double the price so when I seen this for only £15 I thought I better get it quick!

I'm currently doing a bit more prep for the show later, so if you listen or listened feel free to comment me, probably be better if you tweet me as I'm more likely to get it!
As tomorrow is the big freeze hopefully Liverpool doesn't miss out tonight & there will be snow! Wrap up & keep warm!

Presents to myself & Today's amazing music news!

Hello! I really shouldn't be here as I still have 4,000 words that need writing for my 2 essays! But Christmas came late for me today! I ordered 2 tops from Fred Perry on Friday & they came on Tuesday.

And today my Zara stuff finally came! I ordered them on Friday 28th December & they came today almost 2 weeks late! I emailed them on Friday to ask where my stuff was as it said I'd get them in 5-7 working days due to sales etc. They replied the day after to say wait. I then rang them on Monday to see where my stuff was said the latest I'd get them is Wednesday. I then get an email on Tuesday evening to say there is an issue with my order so will be 24-48hrs late. I wasn't happy with this email as they should have told me when I first emailed them or at least could have told me when I rang them on Monday! So I emailed them telling them I wasn't happy with their service & they've yet to have replied to me since Tuesday once I'd received that email! As much as I love Zara's clothes their customer service is utter crap for a big company like them!

I bought both as I didn't know which one I preferred when I seen them online. I ended up keeping the grey one even though after getting opinions from my friends & cousins it was 3-1 for the maroon. The grey fits better where as the maroon is over sized.

Frodo was being nosy & was intrigued at my gifts too!

It was like Christmas this afternoon when 3 boxes arrived for me! These were all bought in the sale however they weren't that cheap. The coat was only £20 off, the bowler bags were £6/7 off but the leather shopper was half price & real leather. I bought 2 of the same bag as yet again I couldn't decided which one I liked more! So bought both, thought I'd be able to decide but turns out I'm so indecisive to choose between things but can't afford to keep both! I also have an issue with having more than one of the same thing but in a different colour.. But I kept the black one as I don't own a black bag so the purple went back. I'm unsure on the coat... I really want a parka but this is warmer as it is feather.

The leather bag turned out to by smaller than I thought and for my mum but I don't think she wants it as it wasn't what she was expecting either. The leather is quite hard & not a soft leather.

Today’s music news has been so good! Justin Timberlake collaborating with Jay-Z & Beyonce!!! Wow Gonna be amazing!

Destiny’s Child are getting back together after 8 years!!

The Brit Awards nominations got announced as well! The Killers up for Best International Band!! Really hope they will it again like they did in 2007! They also won Best International Album That year for Sam’s Town but that category doesn’t seem to exist this year…

Emeli Sande & Rita Ora both have 3 nominations! Jessie J has also been nominated! I really hope all my favourites win!

Topshop Sale

As you can see my 8,000 words worth of essays all due in Monday 14th January is going so well that I went to Topshop! I seriously don't know where to start & don't know what I'm doing as I've left it so long to do! I've made a start but no-where near finished! Why did I pick a 4,000 word essay module?! I hate uni so much! I wish I could have my dream job at the BBC then I could drop out of uni! :(

I got a denim jacket as I surprisingly haven't got one! (I have a tie-dye denim vest my mum got my from China last year.) It was only £9 reduced from £40! (Topshop are great that they still give student discount on sale items!) It's a size 14 which is 4 sizes too big for me but it actually fits alright, it doesn't look too big for me apart from when I button it up. I can wear a hoodie under it & wear layers & isn't cropped like it's meant to be. I also got another ear chain cuff to add to my collection I have 3 now! I am obsessed & love them! I also got a pack of 3 rings, I love double finger rings even though they do restrict you a little bit..

I'm on the hunt for a faux fur collar waxed jacket. Sadly they've all gone in the sale & are now sold out! :( I really want one! Next had a nice one but the one in town & Speke don't have it no more! Anyone know where I can get one??

I got an email from Look today with Primark's S/S 2013 collection & they have some really nice stuff in! I don't really shop in Primark as I don't really like their stuff & it's always really busy & messy so I avoid it. I'd buy some of the things from the collection but I don't think they'll all be in store! :(

These are my favourite items from the Primark S/S 2013 Collection. They're all very cheap & affordable! The shirt looks like one they had in Topshop but more than half the price! Same with the shorts & striped jeans! I love a good bargain so will definitely be on the look out for all these during the next couple of months! :-)

Happy New Year! :-)

New Years Eve

Happy New Year! I hope yous all had a great new years eve & partied to welcome & start the new year! This year I spent it with my bestfriends Danielle, Kelly & Carl. Which is a tradition now that I spend it with Danielle & Kelly but it's the first year I've actually spent it with Carl. The past 4 years I have spent it in Kelly's house with her, Danielle, Gabby & Holly but sadly Gabby & Holly don't really talk to the others & had their own family plans which meant it was just us 4!

We stayed in Danielle's uni house as all her house mates had gone home, we drank & got ready there & left at 11:30pm to go the neighbours as they were having a party. Well when we turned up there was only about 8 of them in the house. I'd met some of them before from when Danielle's house had their first house party but Kelly & Carl hadn't so it was a bit awkward for us. But when there's alcohol involved people just talk & talk & talk! It was pretty rubbish but me, Kelly & Carl stayed till like 2/2:30am to go back to Danielle's house but Danielle wanted to stay there so we left. When we got back we raided the kitchen for food & found some yorkshire puddings, frozen carrot & peas as before they left they had a Christmas dinner. We didn't know how to use the oven so microwaved the yorkshire puddings but put them in too long so they burnt & nearly set the house on fire as there was smoke coming from the microwave! Carl boiled the veg & Kelly had gravy with her food, it wasn't nice at all :/

We then went up to Danielle's room & played Golden Balls but got bored & played scrabble but were just making words & not keeping score this was at like 4am. Carl left at 5 as he was ill, cold & didn't have anywhere to sleep, me & Kelly topped & tailed in Danielle's bed she didn't come back till 8am & slept on the floor.

Danielle's dad gave us a lift back in the morning, I came home had a shower & had a 2 hour nap, caught up with last night's Eastenders then we went to my Gran's again to have dinner, we had Chinese this time as we always go to Gran's at New Years. We watched Up - it's such a sad & nice film I've been wanting to watch it for ages! I hope yous all watched it too!

That was my end of 2012 & start of 2013! Looking back 2012 was pretty rubbish. I could & should have done so much but sadly never so need to make up for it this year! Hope yous all have a good year & enjoy following my blog! :-)
