New Year's Eve 2022

Happy New Year!
2022 is officially over. What a mad year it's been starting with some restrictions and ending with basically no-one caring anymore about covid. Still very much trying to process 2020 though how that was 3 years ago now...

The year ended like any other day with my last gym session of the year in the morning then went to Nanny Wing's for dinner at 5pm. Bit of a mixed spread; roast - left over turkey from Christmas, grandma's pasta and noodles...

On the paper plates again to save on washing which I'm not a fan of but then I can't complain if I'm not doing the washing.

Nanny Wing with her gran kids and great gran kids minus Gavin cos he got off early to start his new year's eve.

Amelie wasn't well so wasn't up for any more photos and saying cheese

Everyone got off about 8pm as they had other plans. I left at 9pm to go to Kelly's. It was just me, Josh, Hannah, Josh's mate from home Dan and his dog Dunc and Kelly's uni friend Lucy. Met Dan the other month when he was down in Liverpool with his spaniel Dunc and Lucy 10 years ago when I visited Kelly in Leeds at uni.

Nothing wild we played Articulate. We did random pairs - Me and Lucy, Kelly and Josh, Hannah and Dan.

Kelly and Josh won, me and Lucy came second then Hannah and Dan came badly last. They were rubbish. Lucy, Hannah and Dan had never played before but all 3 were rubbish at guessing and describing. Hannah and Dan were stuck on the "random category" for about 3 rounds and just couldn't get off it. Hannah got off at 11:30pm so Kelly's mum came to jump in and replaced Hannah to describe to Dan, fairly better but still not great. Lucy had us stuck on "person" for a round. I'm too competitive to not be moving around the board!

It was a good night I didn't end up leaving till 3:30am as we were just talking. I wasn't even drinking - if I was drinking there would have been no way I would have lasted that long though. Eventually got into bed at 4:15am then was up at 8:30am to get to the gym when it opened at 10am. Surprisingly  didn't feel that tired when I got up. Got back had some lunch then went to see Avatar: The Way of Water with Holly at Odeon Luxe Switch Island. We saw it in iSense 3D (no idea what I sense is and all the other options you can pay extra for. Our tickets were free so we went for the most expensive ones.) It was good but didn't need to be nearly 3.5 hrs longs though. Parts of the story just dragged out and I think we would have been alright not seeing it in 3D because the glasses were getting annoying. Near the start when they were swimming in the water I did think I was going to fall asleep but then once the fighting action scenes kicked in that kept me awake. Starting to feel it now and definitely ready for bed!

New Years Eve 2018

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It's officially 2019! I spent New Years Eve in Jo and Rich's after work. Went round we watched Crazy Rich Asians which I've been dying to watch since it come out in the summer but didn't get round to seeing it then we tried to watch it on Christmas Day in Nanny Wing's but it stopped once we got to 40 minutes in. It's a good film I really like it! Could have so been an extra in it!

We had some food, Rich taught me a card game then we watched Deadpool 2. Don't really know why as I didn't even like the first one. We were like half watching it me and Jo could barely stay awake watching it then missed the last half an hour of the film as it was the new year countdown. Once it turned midnight I came home and went straight to bed. So that's how wild my start to 2019 was! But my 2019 will definitely be wild it will get better...

Jo and Rich made these fancy mini fish pies in a shell! We also had rice, chicken and veg but I forgot to take a photo.

New Years Day

New Years Day night went to Nanny Wing's for dinner but it was a smaller than usual gathering as my mum and dad didn't go as they're ill from when they went on their cruise. Laura was in Manchester and Gary, Kirsty and the boys didn't come either.

Me, Tracy, Gavin, Brandon and Uncle Ray played Monopoly - Pokemon version.
Tracy left as she was going home, Gavin went bankrupt, then Uncle Ray so it was left between me and Brandon. He had more money than me but I had more hotels so I thought he was going to win but then he landed on my version of Mayfair and had to pay me £2000 in rent but couldn't afford it so I won! The first time I've even won Monopoly so that must be a sign to a good start of 2019?

Did my first run on the year today with Jo and Sarah. It was only a 5.5 km but the plan is to do 2 short 5 km runs through the week then Sunday morning we're going to do a long run. Starting this Sunday with a 8 km then each Sunday we're going to build up and add another 2 km which will hopefully get up to the 22 miles I want to do before the race come Sunday 26th May 2019. I'll post a proper plan in my next post as I'm still working on it.

2015

2015 was always going to be a bit of a come down for me as 2014 was such a good year. There wasn't any expectations of it to be a good year either so at least it wasn't a disappointment is all I can say. Well I guess I can't say it was all bad I did get to go to London twice for the day for free, I went to Crete for a week, was part of the world record cat walk at the Albert Dock, did 2 radio courses at Radio City & went to college to become a personal trainer. I guess they're the only highlights. But it's been a very expensive year, with my spending getting a little out of hand!

I nearly forgot I was on BBC TV! I was on the Sunday Politics Show North West on Mother's Day.

It was also a year where I decided I'd pretty much agree to everything. Whenever someone asked me to go out & do something I did say yes but then I still don't think I had much of a social life sadly.

Of the stuff I did buy on Christmas night I didn't keep it all so I guess I'm not killing myself over it now. From the Zara order I've kept the leather jacket, the blazer (given it to my mum) & still undecided on the high neck dress. I've sent the Aztec backpack back from Asos as it was horrible & I think I'm keeping the Mi Pac.

All day there's been the boring old "happy new year to all my loved ones, new year new me, had a great year bring on the next, blah blah blah" etc. Just not into posting all that all over social media I mean you can text all you loved ones happy new year you don't need to do it over Facebook? I guess I'm just not in the best of moods as all my friends are being bores & won't go out with me tonight which is why I've got the time to write this post, I should be out somewhere drunk. But I'm not, great start to the new year!

2016 is already matching up to be even more expensive as 2015 as I'm being insured on my mum's new electric car. I'm going to Vietnam to see my mum's cousin's she's never met before then China for 2 & a bit weeks and Hong Kong for a few days with my mum as my granddad isn't very well & he's having an 80th birthday party. Which means I can't be splashing the cash on clothes, think I'm just going to leave that for when I'm in China. Hopefully more holidays & travels as well.

I'm going to be a fully qualified personal trainer which means my career can start & have a full time job too.

See you all next year!

What a year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Can't believe it's 2015 already feels like only yesterday it was the start of 2014! But 2014 has definitely been a great year I think it's actually been the best looking back now with all the things that have happened! It's been very busy & eventful, took ages to narrow down the photos to put them into a collage! This post is a little late I was planning on having it done for the 1st but it took longer than I thought!

FEBRUARY

Started off in February when Kelly came back from America for a couple of days for her cousin Graham & Kerry's wedding which me & Danielle were invited to the after party!

MARCH

Then in March the Wing's had their own wedding with a new edition! Uncle Ray finally got married!

MAY

I finally handed my dissertation in after writing 10,000 words in 7 days!

JUNE

June was a fun filled one with a lot happening in the one month well it all happened in the 1 week actually! Hannah's premature 21st birthday night out as me & Kelly weren't going to be in Liverpool for it, I went to see the Lion King at the Empire with Danielle & Gabby, Gabby's 21st & then the day after I was off to Florida for the best 2 weeks ever! To see my cousin Gary get married to the lovely Kirsty for the 2nd Wing wedding of the year & the best holiday going to Unviersal Studios, Discovery Cove, SeaWorld & Busch Gardens!

I can also say I've seen Robin Thicke & Pitbull both live & in person. Can't say they were exactly highlights of the year or the holiday in Florida but they were an experience. Both were just as bad as each other but Pitbull wasn't actually a good sing along where as Robin Thicke we couldn't stay till the end as we were too jet lagged & hot to stay around!

JULY

July was another big month of events. It started off with the Gary & Kirsty's Chinese wedding party for everyone back at home to attend. Then it was the big one for me after 3 years of hell I finally graduated from the University of Liverpool with a 2:2 in Sociology. The start of the day didn't go well at all had a bit of a tantrum & break down as nothing was going right for me but then it actually turned out to be a really good day minus my feet being in agony after wearing heels all day & just walking around town!

2 days later it was Danielle's 21st where we had a bbq at her house for it.

Liverpool had an eventful month with the giants returning for 3 days where I actually went to every day & followed them. Sounds sad but I loved it! I also got the chance to hear Malala speak the Pakistani girl who got shot in the head by the Taliban & Katie Piper as I won tickets to the World Merit Day event at the Echo Arena off the Echo!

Also had a really fun day out with Kelly walking to Sefton Park & renting the city bikes!

AUGUST

Another fun filled important month with seeing The Killers really unexpectedly as they decided to do an intimate gig in Liverpool the day before they were headlining V festival! I went on a last minute city break with my mum & Dad to Rome for 5 days & then my 21st birthday which I was dreading but turned out to be a lot better than expected! My surprise Hawaiian themed party at Kelly's was one of the best things ever was not expecting it at all especially not to see Holly & Gabby there as well as Danielle & Hannah!

DECEMBER - CHRISTMAS & NEW YEARS

December = Christmas + New Years family & friends time. Finally got to see David as he came home for Christmas! The last time I saw him was last Christmas so it was nice. We went for pizza in TriBeca & gave each other out secret Santa gifts. It wasn't really secret santa as we knew who we were buying for as Kelly did it wrong. It just ended up being me & Danielle buying for each other then Kelly & Hannah buying for each other on a £10 budget which we had to use every penny.

I admit I'm the worst person when it comes to buying & wrapping presents. I tend to avoid both but I was actually really proud of myself with Danielle's presents. I forgot to take a photo of them before I gave them to her but I got her pug slippers from New Look, a colouring book, colouring pencils to go with the book, a diary & a milky bar polar bear. All wrapped too which I don't ever do I tend to just put them into a gift bag!
Danielle got me a clutch, an owl necklace & a bath & body works green hand gel.

Hoi Sin Duck Pizza

Danielle's boyfriend Matt's not very good photography

Christmas was short but sweet this year with my having to work & not going to see Sindy & Jess on Christmas day which was a strange as we go every year either on Christmas or Boxing Day.

New Years Eve was unexpected & unplanned as well as I didn't spend it with the usual bunch I ended up going to a house party with Dan from work. He was going to have a house party but then was invited to his friends which he took me along too. It was eventful to say the least as we ended up going to save his friend who he didn't know was out in Liverpool who lost all her friends she was with! I also missed the countdown as I was in the toilet which was a bit awkward... Ooops

Hopefully 2015 is even better!
But so far I have nothing planned or anything to look forward to which means it hopefully spontaneous last minute plans !

Happy New Year! :-)

New Years Eve

Happy New Year! I hope yous all had a great new years eve & partied to welcome & start the new year! This year I spent it with my bestfriends Danielle, Kelly & Carl. Which is a tradition now that I spend it with Danielle & Kelly but it's the first year I've actually spent it with Carl. The past 4 years I have spent it in Kelly's house with her, Danielle, Gabby & Holly but sadly Gabby & Holly don't really talk to the others & had their own family plans which meant it was just us 4!

We stayed in Danielle's uni house as all her house mates had gone home, we drank & got ready there & left at 11:30pm to go the neighbours as they were having a party. Well when we turned up there was only about 8 of them in the house. I'd met some of them before from when Danielle's house had their first house party but Kelly & Carl hadn't so it was a bit awkward for us. But when there's alcohol involved people just talk & talk & talk! It was pretty rubbish but me, Kelly & Carl stayed till like 2/2:30am to go back to Danielle's house but Danielle wanted to stay there so we left. When we got back we raided the kitchen for food & found some yorkshire puddings, frozen carrot & peas as before they left they had a Christmas dinner. We didn't know how to use the oven so microwaved the yorkshire puddings but put them in too long so they burnt & nearly set the house on fire as there was smoke coming from the microwave! Carl boiled the veg & Kelly had gravy with her food, it wasn't nice at all :/

We then went up to Danielle's room & played Golden Balls but got bored & played scrabble but were just making words & not keeping score this was at like 4am. Carl left at 5 as he was ill, cold & didn't have anywhere to sleep, me & Kelly topped & tailed in Danielle's bed she didn't come back till 8am & slept on the floor.

Danielle's dad gave us a lift back in the morning, I came home had a shower & had a 2 hour nap, caught up with last night's Eastenders then we went to my Gran's again to have dinner, we had Chinese this time as we always go to Gran's at New Years. We watched Up - it's such a sad & nice film I've been wanting to watch it for ages! I hope yous all watched it too!

That was my end of 2012 & start of 2013! Looking back 2012 was pretty rubbish. I could & should have done so much but sadly never so need to make up for it this year! Hope yous all have a good year & enjoy following my blog! :-)
