Nike x Liberty AW14

Nike & Liberty London have collaborated again for the 10th time! They have created an AW14 collection with burgundy & grey autumnal coloured pattern.

Air Force 1 Mid

Burgundy Belmont Ivy Air Max 1

Burgundy Belmont Ivy Blazer Mid

Burgundy Belmont Ivy Internationalist Low

Think this is my favourite pair

Dark Grey Belmont Air Max Mid

Probably my least favourite. Not a fan of the air max mid even though I do like high tops

Dark Grey Belmont Internationalist Mid

Dark Grey Belmont Lunar Force 1 Sky Hi

Considering I do love a pair of high tops I'm not really into the dark grey belmont ones. I just don't think air max's as high tops work neither do internationalists.

To go with the trainers there's a clothing collection to accompany them.

You can shop online for the footwear collection on liberty.co.uk from midnight on Friday 31st Octboer. Avilable in store from 8am 1st November via a special Kingly Street entrance. The clothing will be available from the 1st December from Nike.com

I'm sure they'll also be on sale in Office as well in the coming weeks.

Christmas has come early!

So I kinda spoilt myself this week & did a bit of internet shopping... On Tuesday I bought myself a real leather jacket from New Look then on Wednesday I bought myself a pair of Timberland boots finally!!!

The Timberland boots well... I did a price match off John Lewis last month when Footlocker were still selling the classic junior boots for £69.99, I then had 28 days to buy the boots before I would have to resubmit a new price match. I left it pretty last minute to purchase the boots, only last week was I planning on getting them. However Footlocker have now changed their price up to £90 to match everywhere else which meant if I didn't get them I couldn't resubmit the price match. So just my luck when I decided I was going to buy them they didn't have my size!! So I was stressing, checking the site everyday & had to ring customer services to see if I could buy the boots in store however the price match they had agree with me was online only. The girl on the phone said they were going to get more stock in my size on Monday but I sent them an email to check this but they said they don't know when they were going to get more in.

I then checked on Wednesday night which was the last day for my price match & I couldn't believe it they had ONE size 6 in stock online!! I was like what?? Really?? Is this a joke/dream what's going on?? I'd been checking it all day & there was nothing but around 9pm there was just ONE pair so I managed to bag myself a pair of Timberlands after over 10 years of lusting over them! (It really has been that long as they were "in fashion" when I was in primary school. I'm now 21... My mum wouldn't buy me a pair as compared to now they were cheap but were expensive for kids shoes.)

I've been eagerly waiting for my stuff & wasn't expecting them to turn up together. I was checking the trackers & both of them were received at Hermes hub at the same time which meant it really would feel like Christmas/my birthday but better! The courier was received at 8:56am which meant I was definitely due to receive it some time yesterday. I know they state you can receive things until 8/9pm but I always get them either in the morning or afternoon so when I'd left for the gym at half 5 I wasn't expecting them to come. Just as I got to the front door from the gym at half 7 I got an email to say my stuff had arrived! They were delivered at 7:20pm. I couldn't wait to open them, I was stinking of sweat but the shower could wait!

This is my comfy lounging around the house look as I'd been the gym this morning!

I got it in a size 10 as that was the smallest size they had online. It's a bit big & the sleeves are long but I think they're meant to be. I do love the style but I'm not too sure whether I actually like it that much as it doesn't have any pockets which is really annoying & such an inconvenience! It has a unusual lining as well. But I do love the zip detailing.

I'm going to sell it for £85. I bought it for £100, if you're interested please email me
wing27@hotmail.co.uk
As you can see I've only tried it on but I still have all the tags on since I only got it last night.

Auction

I went to Manchester today with my mum & dad to go to a house auction which was being held at Manchester City's football stadium the Etihad. We got there for half 10 but it didn't start till 12 so we were just sitting around really, looking at the catalogue of houses that were up for auction. We were looking at one house but ended up leaving at half 1!

It was interesting just how you see it on tv, people there bidding themselves, people bidding on the phone. But there wasn't actually that much fighting going on, loads of lots didn't sell as they didn't reach the guide price.

Leather Jacket - Matalan
Scarf - Urban Outfitters
Top - Original Penguin via Asos
Pants - H&M
Leather Cutout Boots - Zara

It was pretty warm today, highs of 15 which makes a change from the horrible hurricane we had on Tuesday which I got caught in walking to the gym. If that's not dedication I don't know what is! It doesn't feel like it's Autumn at all crazy weather!

I've actually had the chance to sit on one of these seats to watch England ladies a couple of years ago when I played for a girls football team. (I was like 13/14 I think? I wasn't very good so stopped but then also the team I played for fell apart). I also got to play at Manchester Regional Arena just next to it before we watched the match.

After we went to the Glamorous Chinese restaurant to have dim sum.

It's been a while since we've had dim sum & after eating it I felt quite sickly at how greasy it is with the sauce. Especially the ho fun which I didn't mange to get a photo of it as I was in the toilet when it came out, my mum & dad had already started eating it! But as you can see from the plate it was really greasy & I hate greasy fried food! Chinese food is healthy if you don't opt for the fried food. Also the restaurant only had a 3/5 star hygiene rating so I didn't want to go as anything less than a 4 really isn't good enough but my dad wanted to go so we did.

After working in a few restaurants even if they are given a 5 star it really doesn't mean they're the cleanest place ever because they could have just got lucky on the day they came to inspect or they knew they were coming. Whilst it can also go downhill but realistically they're not that bothered about hygiene & eating out really isn't all that you're definitely better off cooking the food at home yourself. You know exactly what's in it, make it to your own taste & know how clean it is! Until you work there yourself or see you don't realise but take it from me I know what I'm talking about but obviously it is nice to go out & eat to meet up with people from time to time, so I'm not saying never eat out!

4Talent Day Liverpool

Today I was lucky enough to attend the 4Talent day I heard about by following their twitter @4Talent. I applied a couple of weeks ago & I kinda forgot about it/when it was as I hadn't heard back from them. I got an email on Friday saying I'd been accepted onto it. I was really excited as you know I really want to get into the media industry so any talks or workshops I can attend I'm there especially if it's in my home town then I definitely need to attend it if I can!

It was an all day event had to get to Hope University bright & early for 9am & it went on till 5pm. When we got there we had to get registered & they gave us a goodie bag!

A bag, water bottle, notebook, notepad, highlighters, 2 pens & a box for business cards. Hopefully I'll get to make the most of the business card box soon...!

We then got to choose from 4 workshops to attend

1. Multi-Platform Journalism in the digital age with Jules McCarthy, BBC, Staffordshire University
2. Creative Factual Production with Trai Anfield BBC & Enlightened Media
3. Scripting for TV Drama with Anita Pandolfo
4. Digital & Cross platform production with (a) Lime Pictures - Hollyoaks and (Mirage Islam)
I chose the 4th one, as at the minute I'm looking for a job doing digital marketing so thought it would be really helpful to get to know about it. We then went into the lecture theatre we had some inspiring talks about how they got into the industry, some advice & tips on how we can, how the day was going to be run.

The workshop I chose was split into 2 groups; morning & afternoon. I was in the afternoon one which meant I got to go to Lime Pictures after lunch. We went to a computer room where we were split into 4 groups & had to come up with a new TV idea & how would market it with digital media. My group came up with a reality TV show based on University Students in Liverpool Uni's. It would be on YouTube attracted be people aged 16+ thinking of going into uni. The students knew they were going to be filmed but they didn't know when so it would be completely natural, we didn't want them to act differently for the cameras. We decided how we were going to market it with the different social networks then we had to pitch our idea to the other 3 groups. Everyone came up with really ideas!

We then had lunch which they provided, sandwiches, pasta, fruit salad, tea, coffee, juice it was really good. We then got in taxis to go to Lime Pictures. We could have easily walked it in like 15 minutes. But it was raining & I didn't have an umbrella so I wasn't complaining about the 2 minute taxi journey down there!

Lime Pictures - Hollyoaks

Lime Pictures is in Childwall where they film Hollyoaks. We went to a portacabin where the digital team spoke to use about their roles. We watched Friday's episode which will also be aired tomorrow night on E4 (that's 1 episode ahead. We then got split into groups to help with their Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr & website. I was in the Tumblr group where we had to pick a clip from the that episode to create a gif they can post I think on Friday on their Tumblr http://hollyoaksofficial.tumblr.com/

It was really good to see how they come up with the content to post, unfortunately I didn't get the chance to see all the media platforms as we were put into groups. It was still really interesting & useful non the less.

We then got the shortest taxi ride back to the uni where we had more talks in the lecture theatre with Q&As.

It was a really good & inspiring day, even though I've been to loads of media talks there's always something new that I didn't know about, gets you to think more whilst also making the hunger to strive in the media industry even more! Like it's crazy how much it's changed especially how social media plays such a big part without you even realising because you kind of just take it for granted.

It's been a to a couple of cities already but if goes to a city near you and you're interested in going into the media industry you should definitely apply! You can find out from their twitter @4talent
