Congratulations Malala!

I want to congratulate Malala on receiving the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize, the youngest person to receive it! I can say I have had the privilege to have heard her amazing words with my own ears in person in July when she was in Liverpool for World Merit Day. (You can read the post I did about it here). She deserves it so much, there is no way anyone can say she's not a worthy winner with what she has been doing from such an early age & what she has sacrificed.

Her work fighting for the right of girls to have an education is truly inspiring. Everyone deserves an education whether you're male or female, it shouldn't matter what your sex or gender is. Being shot in the head didn't stop her, it only made her stronger to fight even harder.
"I'm proud that I'm the first Pakistani and the first young woman or the first young person getting this award," she said in Birmingham, England. CNN (Source)

She is so humble and a normal girl, that she just carried on as normal when she was told by teacher than she had won it! She still goes to school even though she's done speeches all around the world even at the UN!

She said she doesn't believe that she deserved the award but considers it an encouragement to continue her campaign and "to know that I'm not alone," Yousafzai told reporters. CNN (Source)

Malala shares the award with Kailash Satyarthi who is an Indian children's rights activist who are both very very worthy winners.

She's only 17 & has already accomplished more than I ever will in my life! She's such an inspiration and role model for anyone any age to look up to. Everyone should fight for what is right & should never give up. Even when you're knocked down you should still keep doing nothing should be able to stop you if you believe in it enough.

Feminism gets a lot of criticism and negativity towards it but it is real and no matter how old you are you should not stand for sexism. Women have the exact same rights as men do it should not matter what your sex or gender is, you should be treated exactly the same you are a human being.
