Quiztina Aguilera

Levi's Denim Shirt - Oxfam
Studded Belt - New Look
Real Leather Skater Skirt - H&M

Holly's - chicken, pesto, buffalo mozzarella,
rocket, parmesan.

Kelly's - feta, sunblush tomato, spinach, olives.

Mine & Danielle's - duck, cucumber, spring onions,
coriander, plum sauce (no tomato)
Without coriander

Danielle had 2 slices left & they asked her if she wanted to take it home she said yes...

Last night me, Holly, Danielle & Kelly went to the elephant pub as they do 2-4-1 pizzas every Tuesday night & the pub quiz. So we thought we'd give it a try. The pub has gone very fancy since it was bought by Simon Rimmer (from Sunday brunch) & done it up. Since we didn't book a table (who knew you had to book a table at the pub!?) we had to wait about 45 minutes for a free table.

Once we finally got a table we ordered our food. Me & Danielle both got the duck pizza, Kelly got feta & holly got the pesto chicken. It was nice I liked it. It was like crispy duck & pancake but instead of the pancake it was on top of a pizza. I tried a slice of Holly's hers was nice too so I'd recommend either of them depending on what you like! But it definitely could have been shared between 2 people even though I did manage to eat it all since I'd been the gym before hand.

The pub quiz started an hour later than stated but it was different to what you'd expect, it wasn't the usual one & paper it's all modern with an app! There were multiple choice, type in a number, the first letter of the word & a buzzer round. The name of the post is the name of our team but spelt correctly. Danielle didn't know how to spell "aguilera" & was kinda under pressure as the guy was watching her type it.

Danielle can't spell

It was an american theme so was relying on Kelly since she lived there for a year. The questions turned out to be ok there was something for everyone it wasn't like the usual old fashioned quiz. In the first round we got like them all right apart from 1. & did win extra points for being the quickest to answer & a buzzer round. Danielle mistaken the multiple choice round for the first letter & got the question wrong when we did know the answer I wasn't amused as I am so competitive.

There were 3 prizes 1st a meal for 6 in the new liberty tavern (restaurant bar next door) on the opening nights. 2nd free round of drinks. 3rd a bag of sweets. Sadly we didn't come in the top 3 but actually did a lot better than we thought! Maybe next time since the team that won was called "Robin Williams isn't really dead he needs to roll a 5 or 6 to get out of jumangi" They did get a lot of booed when their name was said out.

Christmas Shopping...

Well sort of...
I attempted to do some "Christmas shopping" & do some Christmas/new years/new wardrobe clothe shopping too as I actually had a day off work today & I finished uni last Tuesday! I was quite brave venturing into town with all the other crazy last minute people.

I'm rubbish at buying presents I just don't know what to buy for people well I kinda do have some sort of an idea of what I want to buy but they don't always exist & unlikely to have the budget for it either! Same with me wanting new clothes. I have the same issue every year unable to find Christmas clothes as all the clothes are rubbish!

Topshop Knitted Woven Skirt Dress £70

Leather Jacket - Matalan
Wooly Cardi - Gap
Vintage Denim Shirt - Levi's from Oxfam
Studded Belt - Forever 21
Black Skater Skirt - Internacionle Kids
Leather cut out ankle boots - Zara

The first shop I went to was Miss Selfridge which is under Topshop was rubbish so went up to Topshop which was also rubbish but there was some stuff I thought I'd try on then make my mind up but they didn't seem to have anything in my size left! I tried this woven pleated skirt peter pan collar dress on but it's £70!! It's a big on me as it's a size S which is a US 4-6 I need an XS. It's something different but handwash only which I'm not fan of!

Then went to H&M, on the way out I spotted this black leather skirt that had a 50% sticker on it in my size!! I touched it & realised straight away it was real leather! So went straight to the changing room to try it on. It was £34.99 reduced from £69.99 which is a bargain since most shops like Topshop/River Island have faux leather skirts for that price! I've been wanting a leather skirt for ages as well & of course wanted a real one but could never afford one!

I went to all the usual shops Urban, Zara, Pull & Bear, RI, New Look, Internacionale & couldn't find a nice top I could wear my leather skirt with (I know I can wear anything but there just wasn't anything that I liked!) I seen nice shirts but my shirt collection really doesn't need to be added too!
I want a nice fluffy jumper, H&M had 2 but they were grey & navy. I want something more colourful! & no-where else had any nice ones :(

I got Holly's birthday presents so that's one less stress but only have of Kelly's Christmas present! She falls into the I know what I want to get her but can't find anything that matches it...

I signed up to John Lewis' free membership card & they send me vouchers to have free cake & tea/coffee! So I got a slice of carrot cake & a cup of tea to give my poor feet a little rest after the long day of wandering around. I then had to get the bus back & get changed super quick & sprinted half way to the gym to try make it in time to pilate's! I was shattered when I got there!

I didn't realise till before that my skirt has a horrible hole & mark from where the security tag was! I should've noticed it earlier, I would have asked to get another 10% off it but now I don't know what to do, as it was the last one & I do love it! Just have to take it in tomorrow & see what they say!

I'm in work for 2 days, then off for Holly's birthday celebrations, in 3 days & see Kelly on Sunday as she's back from America! Off Eve & Christmas day then in everyday! Hopefully work keep me on but I won't find out till the week after Christmas if I do. I'm not expecting too much just in case they do even though I should be no1 choice being the first temp & I got the bus all the way home yesterday with my manger after a gruelling 9.5 12-9:30pm shift! It actually wasn't as bad as I was expecting as he's really camp & nice, think he's 23 since he's just graduated as well but I'll keep you updated!

Thrifty Thursday #2 - Outfit Of The Day!

So it's the first week back to uni after the Christmas break & exams (First & last exam last Thursday). Well I only had a lecture on Tuesday & today was the 2nd day with another lecture. Seminars don't start till next week. I don't like my timetable this semester as I don't have any days off & the times of things are a pain & have 2 9am starts! But hopefully I can move one of my seminars & have Mondays off!
I think I'm going to enjoy this semester more as the modules I've chosen seem a lot more interesting & have better lecturers. But we'll see how long that lasts...

This is the outfit I wore today in a very very windy Liverpool! We get rid of the snow & ice & have gale force winds now.. The weather really has gone mad! Windswept & not interesting at all! Scared I'll get blown away & struggling to walk anywhere! I guess I should have worn a hat today!

Leather Jacket - Matalan (3 years ago)
Jumper - Topshop (Last year)
Denim Shirt - Levi's from Oxfam
Moto wet look coated skinny jeans - Topshop (Last year)
High-top Converse - Mum brought from Hong Kong (last year)
Bag - Zara (Christmas Sale)
Necklace - Topshop (Sale)

The denim shirt is Levi's which I actually got for free from Oxfam. As me & my friend Holly volunteer there. There was bags & bags of clothes but as we work in the furniture store we don't sell clothes, we had to go through the bags to see which could be taken to the clothes store to sell or get taken to recycling that wouldn't sell. We were allowed to keep anything we saw & liked & I picked this shirt as I've been looking for a denim shirt for ages & it's Levi's. It is pretty big as you can see it hanging out of my jumper but the sleeves aren't that long. I'm not sure whether it's meant to be a men's shirt or women's as the buttons go from left to right like men's shirt but the collar is really tight even when I button it up & I have a skinny neck!

The necklace is actually chain braces from Topshop which I got in the sale for only £1.35 which was meant to be £18.50! I've spent far too much money on the Topshop jewellery sale as everything is £1.50 which is like 80% off the original price which I've been eyeing up & couldn't afford!

I've got to brave the wind again to go the radio :( (That's if I make it to the bus stop without getting blown away!)
I'm on 6-7:30pm. Which you can listen to live on 99.8fm (if you live in Liverpool) or
This week we're talking about Buy British, how we should be helping the economy by buying British products, food, local businesses etc :-)
If you tweet me @Juki_W I can give you a shout out on air tonight, if you want to get your voice/opinion heard!

First Christmas Dinner of the year!

Dress - Zara (in the summer sale when I went to Spain)
Belt - Forever 21
Bag - Marc B (bought from Topshop)
I also wore my mum's vintage black blazer with shoulder pads in
Holly did my hair!

Just a post of my outfit from last night.
Me & Holly went to Oxfam's Christmas meal. We've both been volunteering at the furniture store on Smithdown Road since the end of July. We really deserved this meal as we work the hardest & do the most compared to everyone else especially when we had the old manager. (We only work on Saturday mornings but we still do so much more than others who work with us!)
We both had the same thing, turkey with all the trimmings & strawberry waffle cheesecake with cream. The roast was alright but the gravy wasn't nice as I'm really fussy I only like the Maysan gravy & won't have any other & this was like water far too thin for my liking! The cheesecake wasn't that nice either we both like a super thick biscuit base but this was like paper thin & I don't like cream! But we both did manage to finish it all but left the cream.

Everyone was offering to buy us drinks which was nice but we felt bad so only had 3 drinks each. They were all pretty drunk, we were the only sober ones. Our manager bought some raffle tickets they were selling & gave stripes to us & I won the first number 521! I had to go to the bar & choose a box numbered 1-10. One of the prizes was £50, then there were bottles of wine & crisps! I chose number 5 well Holly did & I won a bottle of Prosecco! I've never won anything before so I was so happy! But it was horrible so the bottle got passed round to everyone. Another volunteer from Oxfam also won on the raffle but he got a packet of crisps. No-one won the £50 it was in box 10!
We decided to do the pub quiz & we won! Team Smithdown woooo! With a bit of help from our friend Google just to double check on some answers that we already knew just weren't too sure on.. The prize was a £20 bar tap so everyone got a drink & the manager Ashley paid the extra.

So overall we had a good night as I'd never won anything before, or a pub quiz! Sadly for them me & Holly are taking a break as we have coursework & exams & won't be working until February! Don't know how they're going to cope without us as we do everything for them!
