Family Meal

Blazer - Vintage Mum's
Lace collar top - Topshop
Necklace - Topshop
Skirt - Internacionale
Belt - Forever 21
Heels - Miss Selfridge
Tights - New Look

I curled my hair using straighteners, it took forever as I have so much hair! Just wanted to give up after doing a couple of parts of my hair! It would make my life so much easier if I had a personal hairdresser!

It was Uncle Norman's 80th birthday last night (it's complicated how we're related, granddad great granddad's brother along them lines...) We had a family meal at Tai Pan restaurant.  It's rare for the Wing family to be out of Nanny Wing's for anything unless it's an actual wedding/christening some sort of big do! So it was nice to be out at a restaurant.

We had a banquet.. Starter had a big dish with spring rolls, prawn toast, crispy seaweed, crispy wontons, salt & pepper ribs, picked cabbage. Then had crispy duck & pancakes. For the main meal had rice with vegetables & a load of meat & fish. Then had oranges & some birthday cake that was made by his son which was nice!
I'm not a fan of eating out & rarely go out to eat mainly due to the portions being massive & I hate wasting food so always end up eating too much & feel like I need to make the most of it!
I'm not feeling too good today though I think I ate too much last night & feeling really bloated  which is probably down to me not eating food like this. I would never order food like this if I was to eat out. I feel I need to drink a lot of water & have fresh food to wash it out of me!

Scones!

I made the perfect scones today! I didn't put too much milk in them like the other times & they weren't too dry! Nanny Wing would be proud!
I need to invest in the cookie/scone cutters as I used a glass cup to cut them so they're massive!

I need to start my uni assignments as it's due in the same time as I have exams. On Friday I had to pick my 3 lecturers I'd like as my dissertation supervisor sadly I had to pick 3 which I thought were ok to approach but I'm not happy with my choices :( I hate uni!!

Brandon Flowers ❤

Brandon Flowers Tee - Flamingo Road Tour, Liverpool, October 2010
Striped Pants - Given by cousin. From H&M
Gold Chain - Forever 21, last year
Shoes - Vans
Bandanna - Spain 2 years ago

Pretty laid back outfit for today as it mainly consisted of me going in & out of the house & having naps. The weather was awful today we have gale force winds & I got caught in the rain walking to the bust stop & got soaked :(

My Thursday routine just revolves around having a nap...
Uni seminar at 9am which means I have to get up at 7am. Bus at 8am. Back home by like 10:30am an hour nap, then some lunch,  leave at 12pm for 1pm lecture. Back home by like 2:30pm another nap, hour & a half, have a cup of tea then leave at 4:40pm to get the bus at be at the radio for 5:30pm. That is my routine pretty much every Thursday this semester! Fun! Not...

This Brandon Flowers tee is from his solo tour he did in 2010 to promote his album Flamingo. It was at Liverpool's 02 Academy & actually the first gig I have ever been to, & I was 3rd row from the stage. It was amazing! I loved it! I can't help but to post some photos from it...

Me & gabby, we were 16 at the time!

We waited like an hour after the gig so I could get a picture & his autograph. I stood right by the door he was coming out but one of the stupid bouncers was standing in front of me & got in the way! I still today am so annoyed at him, seriously want to hunt him down! (That's my hand in the left with the red sharpie :'( )
My Brandon Flowers "shrine" on my wardrobe
I'm just reminiscing now how good that night was & didn't think I could be happier but then in November I went to see The Killers finally on their Battle Born tour in the Echo arena & touched Brandon!! But that will be saved for another post!

I am so stressed at the moment & hate my uni so much! We have from now till the 17th May to choose our modules for next year but they didn't tell us anything about it or have a talk, we only got an email on Tuesday & I didn't even realise it was for us as it was sent to the 1st years going onto 2nd year to choose theirs as well. Looking at all the possible modules they all look crap, nothing really interests me, the ones that seem alrightish are either 4,000 word essays or 3hr exams! We have a 10,000 word compulsory dissertation as it is!! :'(
The other courses have had talks we just get left to fend for ourselves!

Also we have to choose 3 possible lecturers we like to be our dissertation advisor. We got given a list of what area of research they focus on before Easter & we got an email this week to say we have to have chosen them for tomorrow & got a new list. The 3 I was going to choose aren't on the list anymore, they on research leave next year!!! They really couldn't have picked a worse time to leave! I really don't know what to do now as I don't like the others who are on the list, I don't feel comfortable to ask them for help when I need to! I am stressing so much & just hate uni! Things just get worse & worse for me biggest regret of my life uni all I do is moan about it! :'( Don't know what to do!! Just going to have to pick 3 I think are okish...

Anyone else in the same situation with uni? If you are please let me know so I don't feel as bad & stressed out!

Buuuurmingham!

The Bullring

It's starting to become a bit of a tradition for me to visit Birmingham over Easter as the past 3 years in a row I've been over the Easter holidays! The past 2 years was cos my dad & little brother went to the Gadget Show Live so I went to the Bullring. Last year I was left for like 10 hours wandering on my own as no-one came with me :( but yesterday me & Danielle wanted a day out of Liverpool so went shopping for the day! :-)

Runcorn train station Lambananas!
Danielle looks more like a fashion blogger than I do! I loved her outfit!
Selfridges
Mmm Macarons in Selfridges!

Leather Jacket - Matalan
Top - Fred Perry Sale
Skirt - Actually my Llama Print Pinafore Dress - Topshop (From Helloooo! :-) Post)
Shoes - Vans
Bag - Zara Sale

We got the 10:34 train from Liverpool Lime Street to Birmingham New Street 1h 55mins. We chose to go to Birmingham as tickets were £18 return from Liverpool Lime Street & the Bullring is massive with a 3 floor Forever 21 (which we're still waiting to complete in Liverpool, was meant to open end of March.. Doesn't look like it'll be finished any time soon!) So hoped we could have a good shopping spree. Sadly the shops are rubbish at the moment! It was a very disappointing day as I didn't like anything, nothing really stood out to me even stuff that were expensive & out of my price range didn't catch my eye!
Forever 21 was the biggest disappointment even the jewellery were rubbish! They usually have loads of nice stuff in & have stuff I want cheap but they never :( So I left there empty handed after wandering round for like nearly 2 hours! However Danielle did get a jumper, top & a moustache necklace.

I didn't completely leave empty handed I did get a jumper from H&M kids for £9.99 & a pair of black high waisted leggins from the Urban Outfitters sale for £13.50 (£15, student discount!)
We also get some buns from the Chinese bakery so it wasn't that bad! But it was a long day & I'm still pretty tied from wandering round all day!
We got the 18:36 train & was back in Liverpool for 20:17 but had to get the bus home so didn't in till after 9pm. We were falling asleep on the train!
But I did have a good day out it makes a change from Liverpool's town even though they had all the same high street shops apart from F21 which are soon to get & a Selfridges.

Yay finally somewhere has got a pair of high waisted riding pants like the American Apparel ones! These are half the price & a lot more affordable & do look like them! They're not in stores yet but are on sale on the website so when they do come in store I may have to snap up a black pair as I've been wanting a pair for ages!

Hope you've had a good Easter & break from school/college/Uni!
It's that day of the week again I'm  on the radio!

I'm on 6-7:30pm. Which you can listen to live on 99.8fm (if you live in Liverpool) or
This week we're talking about Manchester police recording hate crime on subcultures, Britain's young crime comissioner stepping down from her tweets & the billionth digital downloaded track  :-)
If you tweet me @Juki_W I can give you a shout out on air tonight, if you want to get your voice/opinion heard!
