The weather has been amazing the past week! It feels like Spain having temperatures hitting nearly 30! I think summer HAS finally arrived for us!!
I managed to get 5 free audience tickets to see Gok's new live show Gok Live. Stripping for Summer which is live on Channel 4 at 8-9pm. It's filmed in Media City Salford so I took Danielle & Carl with me to Manchester for the day. I did ask my other friends but they couldn't go.
We got the coach which was only £5 return each which is half the price of the train & about the same time! We got there for 2 wondered around the Arndale as Danielle wanted some sunglasses but it turns out she doesn't suit any style. We went to Chiquitos for lunch, I've never been before as we don't have one in Liverpool. It was alright I don't know whether I'd go again, it's mexican I got the bbq pork wrap from the lunch deal £5.95. It was a bit spicy but bearable for me.
We sat in Picadilly gardens for a bit then rang a taxi to take us to Media City. We were early so sat on the side of the quay & watched people bathing in the water. We decided to walk over to the studios & realised people had already started queueing for the show. On the ticket it says doors open approx 6:30 (it's outside) didn't let us in till about 6:45. We got let into the "golden circle". There was a comedian or fluffer to keep us entertained until the show started. Gok came out to speak to us but we the show started we had to pretend we hadn't seen him. Surprisingly they weren't that strict all the said to us was don't swear as it's live tv & turn your phone to silent. We just had to clap & cheer when ever the floor manager told us to. Gok looked really nervous & kept going through his lines on the auto cue when the camera's were off which you don't see.
The show was really good but it turns out we didn't have to queue (unless you want to be in the golden cirlce & be on tv) as outside the barrier it's just a public space with deck chair's a bar that people can just chill! You just don't get caught by the camera. I watched the show back tonight & you can see me & my friends before & after the ad breaks & at the end of the show I actually look at the camera a couple of times! If you're trying to spot us we're near a woman wearing a straw hat on the bottom left of your screen!
Also walking around Media City & seeing how nice it is I really do want more than anything than I did before to go there everyday & say this is where I work, this is my office as it's so nice, shiny & new! I can imagine myself going there everyday! It has made me even more determined to get myself a job there!
