LIMF 2017

Liverpool International Music Festival 2017

LIMF weekend at Sefton Park - Europe's biggest free music festival! I went today the last day it was on, it started on Thursday night at the Palm House. Big names again this year for the line up with Gorgon City, Corinne Bailey Rae, Jax Jones, Becky Hill, So Solid Crew, Naughty Boy, Cast, JP Cooper, Kate Nash & many more!

The weather wasn't great today, I did want to go yesterday & the line up was better - it was still good though. I went to see Becky Hill & JP Cooper before it started raining. Didn't get there till 4 with my mum.

As we were walking to the central stage we caught the end of Jessie Reyez who was really good & definitely someone to look out for in the next year.

Becky Hill

Can't say I was a fan of Becky Hill when she was on the first serious of The Voice but she's actually really good & like the stuff she's come out with. A bit awkward when she asks "Are you alright Liverpool looking a bit stationary & quiet."

They've got a new "VIP area" this year which I think is £50 for a wrist band so you can be closer & you can go to different events that you need to get tickets for.

JP Cooper

JP Cooper was also really good but we left as he was starting his last song as it started to rain & I decided to take my umbrella out my bag as I didn't think it was going to!

Corinne Bailey Rae & Cast were the last 2 acts on closing the festival which we would've stayed for if it didn't rain. LIMF happened to be on the worst weekend this year, every other weekend the weather has been so nice & sunny! It was still good though, hopefully the weather is good next year when it's back with even bigger & better artists!

Posh Pizza

I'm a rubbish friend and didn't know what to get Danielle for her birthday which is on Monday - I told her that I'd take her out for food for her birthday present. I know she likes food and she could choose where ever she wanted I'd just be there to pay the bill!

We settled on Crust on Bold Street. We went for Gamberi & Astice - Tomato, prawn, lobster & lobster sauce. We thought we were getting a pizza with lobster meat on it with some prawns. We ended up with half a lobster on top of the pizza which we had to tackle ourselves & 3 large prawns!

Danielle did a good job taking the lobster apart & sharing it out evenly onto the pizza. The sauce was really nice but we definitely would've rather had lobster meat on the pizza rather than an actual lobster just sitting there that we had to take apart ourselves. It was nice but I definitely preferred the smoked salmon one we had last time which you can read about here

Looking at the menu now I've just noticed at the bottom can't see the pizza of your dreams? Construct your own masterpiece by asking one of our servers for more details didn't notice this! We shall be back soon to make the most of this!

Down the side street of Primark going up to the Bluecoat on Church Alley they are umbrellas suspended. A new art installation The Umbrella Project is to raise awareness for ADHD foundation - which is celebrating it's 10th anniversary. It looks really good especially when the sun is shining with all the different colours. I took this photo after we'd been for food when the sun had gone down so doesn't look too good but it's up for a while so I'll get a better photo!

I got tickets on Tuesday morning to see The Killers in November in Manchester Arena! I managed to get them in the first pre sale and I'm so happy & excited! I needed a gig for this year as I've been to one every year since my first one back in 2010 when I seen Brandon on his first solo tour. I had an inkling that they would go on tour soon to promote the new album Wonderful Wonderful which is due out in September & hoped it was going to happen this year - but didn't think it actually was going to happen. Before getting them tickets I felt like I was going to an exam I wasn't prepared for buying gig tickets is the worst feeling ever it's so stressful. 4 months today the countdown begins!!
