Zara Spree

I have an issue with spending money at the moment - I'm spending like it's nothing. I've bought so much clothes lately that I don't even have the chance to wear them! I just wear gym clothes pretty much everyday even in work. I only go into work 2 days a week wearing normal clothes! I need to stop as I'm getting a car & go on holiday soon so need to save.

It was the student event yesterday in Liverpool - Zara was surprisingly doing 20% off everything from 4-8pm. They never do offers like that! I walked in after work around half 4 & the queue for the till was to the entrance. The tills are right at the back of the shop! It was crazy it was as if the clothes were free!

I wanted a coat so I though I'd have a look around to see what they had to make the most of the discount. I've finally bought a short coat, leather pants & a kids dress. I'd already bought a dress online the other day & a black pair of skinny jeans last week.

Been after a waterproof short coat for so long & finally found one I like! I wish it was a little longer but it'll do.

Wanted these pants last year but just never got round to buying them.

I don't look as cute as this girl in this dress but it's nice & has pockets.

I didn't get discount on this dress I'd already bought it online & they didn't have my size in store to buy it again. It also has pockets but the stripes on the shoulders are velvet :(

I also bought a pair of black skinny jeans from Levi's in Cheshire Oaks at the weekend. They were only £10 in the sale but they're so long! I'm sure their jeans are made for people who are 6ft tall! Levi's do free tailoring in the normal stores so I'm waiting to pick them up next week after a good 3 inches off them.

I've banned myself from buying any more clothes especially from Zara as it's getting a bit out of hand now. I don't have endless money which I seem to think I have at the moment!

Wahaca

Went to Wahaca tonight for dinner with Danielle. Mexican tapas - it wasn't great unfortunately.

Guacamole with tortilla chips

Sweet potato & feta taquit - Roast sweet potato, feta & caramelised onion wrapped in a crispy blue corn tortilla with salsas & chipotle mayo

Devon crab tostada - With cucumber, ancho mayo, avocado & lime ash on a crisp tortilla base

Chicken & avocado tacos

The food was alright nothing special but the crab tostada was horrible. It was so fishy - think it was the ancho mayo. So glad you only got one cos we split in half between us & we both didn't like it. It was the most expensive thing out of what we ordered as well. The chicken & avocado tacos were nice could've had more to them! The sweet potato & feta taquit was nice but was spicy the chipotle mayo!

I wouldn't go back again - I say it all the time, I'd rather go to an independent place & not a chain restaurant but it was pouring down the weather was horrible so we didn't want to walk up to Hope Street as we've not been up there for food as we've been to pretty much every where on Bold Street.

Dinner Date

Finally reunited with Holly! I haven't seen her since May when I went to visit her down in Nottingham but she's finally moved back home to Liverpool. It might have been 4 months but it doesn't feel like it.

We went to Souk on Bold Street for dinner. Kinda forgot to take a photo of our bread & hummus we were that hungry...

I got the salmon pasta with trofie pasta.

Holly got the halloumi salad. Apparently the halloumi could've done with a little seasoning.

The people next to us looked like they got the Mediterranean seafood penne pasta & it was massive but mine looks pretty small but it was filling. The food was average but the service was good the staff were really friendly.

It was really quiet in there 3 tables at the most compared to the rest of Bold Street which were all pretty much full. They're even doing 20% off for students at the moment. Our meal only come to under £20 for the 2 of us including our drinks. We'll probably be back again as there was too much choice on what to have. The pizza and pasta looked good but I don't get why the pesto pasta & ravioli only come as vegetarian? Why's there no meat option?? Surely it's easier & makes more sense to have a meat option then get the choice to take the meat out?

Go Karting

Last night I had belated birthday fun with Kelly & Callum from work. We went indoor go karting which these 2 paid for as my present. Poor Kelly has been dreading it since I booked it & Callum was so hungover definitely shouldn't have been behind a wheel. I was really excited for it, I was in my element loving it!

We paid £35 for unlimited which meant we got to go on track 5x. Our slot was at 5:30pm but you had to be there 40 minutes before your slot to get dressed in your jumpsuit & safety briefing. Didn't get any of this when I went outdoor go karting in China last year. Just gave you a balaclava & helmet then you were straight in a kart!

We were there till 10pm - there so much longer than we were planning. It was cos there was quite a few groups they had to rotate on. It did get a bit monotonous going around the track but I was having a boss time, can't say Kelly & Callum were the same cos they were so ready to go home after the 2nd time we went on!

We're all battered & bruised today though, I feel like I've done a full workout at the gym. (I did go in the morning to do a spin & ab class but it defo wasn't from that). I was leaning into the corners when I was turning & bashed into Kelly by accident as I wasn't paying attention. But some people did think it was like bumper cars & getting right up to you. I mean it was super tempting to just go into the back of someone & cut them up.

Highlight of the night Kelly getting a bruised chin when we had to pull into the pits after the first round. She bashed into the guy in front of her cos she accelerated instead of braking but I missed it! I was pulling in just as it happened! She also nearly broke a marshall's leg cos he went to help her then after was badly limping. Surprised she was allowed back into kart after that.

I'd 100% recommend & go again not any time soon though as I'm still aching from it & finding random bruises on my back & legs. There should also be a warning for afterwards when you're driving a real car. Cos I wasn't fit to be driving home after it, I felt like I was still in a kart & wanted to like cut corners!

Thanks Kelly & Callum I had the best time - I know you two probably didn't enjoy it as much as I did but we had a laugh it was fun!
