Zumuku Sushi

Went to a new sushi restaurant that has opened on Lark Lane - Zumuku Sushi with Holly tonight. It opened last Friday and is a chain as there's a few of them already opened in Manchester.

It's only small inside and sits around 18 people max. Has 2 tables that sit 4 people, 2 tables that sit 2 people then a bench facing outside and a bench that faces the wall. When we walked in it was pretty full with only one table and the window bench free. You can walk in or book probably would have to book on a Friday/Saturday.

Omakase Sushi Sharing Platter - Omakase is the Japanese tradition of letting a chef choose your food. So let our chefs choose a selection of the freshest and tastiest sushi to create a memorable dining experience

All Salmon Set 20 pieces - £24.95 for 1-2 people

Uramaki Roll - Plant Powered - Seaweed salad, cucumber, mango, avocado - 5 pieces - £7.95

Pork Miso Ramen - Kale, fungus mushroom, spring onion, soy egg, spring oil onion, chicken broth - £14.50

I got the sharing salmon platter to myself. I was going to get the Tokyo Rainbow but you only got 10 pieces with that. This had a mixture of everything - sashimi, nigiri, California and maki. It was nice I enjoyed it.

Holly got the plant based Uramaki - couldn't taste the mango but it was nice and she got ramen. She's ranked it 5/10 places she's been to. She liked that the pork was cut up and not a big piece that most places do.

Would go back again for my sushi fix. Glad a sushi place has opened up closer and I don't have to go all the way into town. They only thing is a wanted gyoza but it's the deep fried one rather that the steamed or pan fried which I prefer. Looks like they're doing well as they had a few take-aways and when we left there was 2 tables.
