Bastille - From All Sides Tour - 15 Year AnniversaryManchester - AO ArenaFriday 14 November 2025
On Friday night I went to see Bastille for the 6th time - Dan for the 9th time (seen him 3x doing his solo tour last year for Ampersand). I went with Holly and it was the 3rd time at the AO Arena in Manchester but the first time with Holly at the arena as the past two times she didn't go with me. The last time I seen Bastille was July 2023 when they played Castlefield Bowl to celebrate 10 years of their first album Bad Blood and it was my favourite Bastille gig.
From All Sides is a celebration of the first 15 years of Bastille - 4 albums and 4 mixtapes later. All songs that have been out so knew them all word for word apart from the new song Save My Soul. No date for when this is being released and if there is a new album on the way...
We got to Manchester for 4pm as doors were 6pm. The best thing about going to the AO Arena is the car park across the road and if you get there early enough and queuing you're sheltered. The weather was horrible as Storm Claudia was battering the North West and beyond so it was just non-stop rain all day and wind. It was freezing but at least we were dry. Thought we were pretty much at the front of the queue but they had these tickets where you could be at soundcheck then get other random bits (they were expensive like £150) so the people who came out of that got their own special queue and got let in first which was annoying. The system was actually pretty bad because they had 2 queues but then said use this side too and we didn't have our bag checked so could have took anything in. I'd just threw half a bottle water away but Holly still had a full one. Not that I could drink any water because I was dying for a wee but didn't have time to go before.
They stuck to these set times as everyone came on bang on time
We were 3/4th row just behind the people who were at the sound check
Better Joy
She was good like the sound of her
Sofia Camara
She was also really good but the bass was way too loud so couldn't hear her sadly.
Bastille
Love Dan's orange denim jacket
Loved this Other People's Heartache bit they had. It was from their first mixtape which you can't get on streaming sites and have to find all the songs from YouTube.
The people in front of us had a flag which they managed to pass to Dan which he took for a bit and then gave back
The encore was really short and there was quite a few songs I wished they played which they didn't. For Pompeii they brought Better Joy and Sofia Camara out.
Dan was on form, it was so good. They have so many songs and they played them different so it wasn't like any of the other gigs I've been to. You can see the set list here. Don't know if we stank but people left space around us so didn't feel claustrophobic or sweaty like you I usually do. Holly said before the gig she was never going to an arena standing gig again but said this experience wasn't what she thought and has changed her mind.
See you again soon Bastille! Here's to another 15 years....
