Went to Bam Boo on Easter Monday. I'd booked a table the night before for 1pm as the last time I went we were super lucky to get a seat so thought it was best to book a table with it being bank holiday.
Sefton Park and Lark Lane were super busy and struggled to get a parking space.
The place wasn't full when we go there. Still a few empty seats but was fully booked online with the next available times at 3:45pm and 4pm.
It took over half an hour for the food to come and we got no updates or apology for the food taking so long. We'd finished our drinks before the food even came.
Matcha Latte with Coconut Milk
Cappuccino
Short Rib Shakshuka - Rich tomato ragu, confit tomatoes, peppers, served with toasted semolina - £15.95
The Pesky Full English is nice but I've had it twice so wanted to try something different.. The shakshuka was bland and had no seasoning. Was just rib put in some tomato sauce. The poached eggs were over cooked and crazy amount of butter on the bread.
Bam Boo Full English - 2 Butcher sausages, streaky bacon, black pud, fried egg, beans, cherry vine tomatoes, hashbrown and toasted semolina bread - £14.95
The full English also looked better last time
Raspberry Ripple Souffle Pancake - Raspberry chantilly, raspberry coulis, white chocolate sauce, fresh raspberries served with vanilla ice cream - £16.50
The pancakes were nice. Slowly going through the different flavours.
We asked for the bill 3 times before we eventually got it and had to ask a different member of staff who did take the optional service charge off which I would have asked for anyway.
I won't be rushing to go back any time soon after Monday.
After we went for a walk round Sefton Park and we seen the fluffiest corgi. He is exactly what I want but wasn't able to ask to pet him :(
Corgi watch in Sefton Park continues..
