We got up at 8am and got the train to Fushimi Inari-Taisha which only took 20 minutes. There was a lot of people and it was cold as it was up a mountain.
It's a long walk and you can walk right up to the top of the mountain which is a 2.5 mile walk which takes about 2 hours.
So hard to find a spot with no-one in the background!
Really cool how there is so many torri's and how they're lined to make a gate and how they managed to get them all the way up the mountain! There's 1000s of them!
We didn't make it up to the top as it was too long of a walk and luckily we didn't as it started raining so would have got soaked up the mountain.
Tried this fried tofu with rice crackers. Wasn't a fan of the flavour
Got a matcha soft serve and dad got a vanilla and matcha.
We got the train back and went looking for food.
Top left was apparently horse meat, top right shark's heart - I didn't eat either. Only had the fried octopus
The food nice minus the questionable sashimi.
We had a wander round the shops.
Stopped at Starbucks. I got a medium matcha latte, mum got a small cappuccino and dad a small latte and this matcha cookie - came to about £8. At home 2 drinks would cost you this much!
And that's the end of Kyoto as next up is Tokyo!
