Pains Aux Raisins

Freshly baked Pains Aux Raisins. My mum got 2 boxes of the jus-rol pains aux raisins as they'd been reduced in Morrison's to 65p. They're currently on offer 2 for £3.

They're really easy to make & definitely a cheat to baking pastry! All you do is cut them into the size you want put them on baking paper & you just bake, easy as that!

It comes in a tube that you unravel then you cut it into however thick you want. I cut mine a bit too thin & ended up with more than what the pack said you'd get out of them.

As I cut them too thin they were crispy & more like them spiral biscuits you get when you go to European countries. I don't know what they're called but they usually come in like a heart shape..

The box said to bake them for 9-11 minutes at 200°C but our oven's old & really slow it ended up taking 30 minutes until they were golden brown. They're really nice, I love a pains aux raisin, not quite the same pastry you get in the shop but good enough!

Jus-Rol have loads of different pastries you can just throw in the oven, with croissants, pains aux chocolate & also just plain roll out pastry so you can make your own things whether you want to make a pie or tart.
