The Watering Can

Went to The Watering Can for brunch will Holly yesterday. It's a little cafĂ© in Greenbank park off Smithdown Road. They don't take bookings and is walk in only so when we arrived at 10:45am they didn't have any space for us and took our name and number, we went for a walk and they rang us within 5 minutes to say they had a table for us.

We sat in The Potting Shed which was basically a green house with all plants. I'm glad Holly was sat on the plant side as it was fully of spiderwebs and probably bugs!

All the plants are real apart from the divider ones between the tables.

I got Salmon and Goats Cheese Breakfast Bruschetta - Home cured salmon, whipped goat's cheese, tomato, candy and golden beetroot, lemon, dill, garlic oil, toasted sourdough

Holly got Smashed Avocado and Halloumi - Pan fried halloumi, smashed avocado, tomato chutney, lime, chilli, basil, toasted sourdough

Mine looked pretty but the toast was burnt. Sourdough is the actual worst when toasted as you just can't cut it with a butter knife! There was so much whipped goats cheese that I ended up taking off. I guess if you like cheese it would have been fine but I'm not a cheese lover!

It was nice to catch up as it's been a while and to go out and have something to eat!
