Sky Garden

When I got to London last Friday for my birthday I met Kelly at Liverpool Street Station and went to Eataly. A new Italian food hall that has opened up which has a restaurant and over priced Italian goods. Kelly booked Sky Garden for 2pm so we didn't have time to eat at the restaurant so just got some food from one of the counters downstairs.

I got spinach and ricotta ravioli. It was really greasy wasn't a fan.

We then walked down to The Walkie Talkie to go to Sky Garden. Security is tight in there - full on airport security - bags through a scanner, a metal detector and getting body searched.
Sky Garden is up on the 35th floor of the building. You get in a lift that takes you straight up there.

You get a full 360 view of London which is great considering it's free to go up. If you want to go up the Shard you have to pay and you'll probably just get the same view.

There's a bar as soon as you walk in but also a restaurant up above which is quite inside so you don't really get the view. A bit pointless being up there since you're so far away.

Considering it's called "Sky Garden" there's not much of a "garden". Just a few plants in one area. I thought it would be full of plants like a forest! So that was a bit disappointing.

It's definitely worth going up there since it's free! Just don't be expecting an actual garden... You have to book a slot online just so it doesn't get over crowded.
