Polidor 68

Went to Polidor 68 for lunch today as Kelly and Josh were home for the weekend with Danielle and Hannah. We went for lunch at 1:30pm and it was super busy. The whole of Lark Lane and Sefton Park was super busy as the weather was nice. Luckily we booked so were fine for a table. I came here a few years ago for lunch with Jo and Sarah. Menu is different now from what it was.

I got a Matcha Latte which didn't look like one as it was really frothy and white. Usually it's bright green but I think it was because it was quite weak. Wasn't much matcha in it.

HLT Open Sandwich - Grilled halloumi, avocado, preserved lemon hummus rocket and tomato

Me and Hannah both got this which was alright - not much avocado and the sourdough was really hard to cut. The halloumi was good though wasn't salty or rubbery which it usually is when I've had it before.

Josh got:

Braised Lamb Pita - Israeli cous cous, riata, tahini, mixed field greens, confit tomato

Kelly got:

Halloumi Flatbread - lemon hummus, rocket, picked red onion, and confit tomatoes

Danielle got:

Nduja - Goats cheese, rocket, and picked red onion

Crispy Cauliflower - Chili gastique, house pickles

We shared the cauliflower and it was quite nice. Josh thought it was like an onion bhaji - it was basically the name - crispy cauliflower!

It's nice in here I've only ever sat upstairs but downstairs is pretty big with quite a few tables and has outside seating. They do breakfast, lunch and dinner. We missed the breakfast menu as that stopped at 1pm. They do small plates and like nibbles as well as big plates also. Breakfast menu is definitely more to my taste.
