Navigli

We were in Milan for 24 hours and went to Navigli for dinner. It's a half an hour walk from the Duomo but a straight road from there. We didn't even realise there was a canal in Milan - it was only because I got a recommendation from Josh to go there and didn't think we would go as we thought it would be too far but we're glad we did go and it wasn't actually that far - well it is a bit of trek from our hotel but was fine.

We got there at 4pm and it was pretty dead. Most of the restaurants weren't even open yet only the pubs and bars. But when we sat for dinner at like 6pm it started to get busy.

We stopped at a bar next to the Alice and Wonderland themed one and Holly got a €5 aperol and I got a mocktail - some orange juice with strawberries or something don't even know what it was. We got a bowl of crisps with it too!

Taliatelle Alla Bolognese

Ravioli al Ragu e Porcini

Grilled vegetables - Aubergine, courgette and tomato

We went to the first restaurant we seen as we walked down the canal but we did walk all the way down and looked at them all and thought this had the best menu as it had homemade pasta. This was on the left side of the canal second restaurant in if you walk from the Duomo called Naviglio 48.

This cost us €41 - bottle of water, 2 pastas and roasted veg and 10% service charge.

The pasta was so good - just thinking about it again now writing this post. You could tell the pasta was homemade and fresh. Wish the portion was bigger as we weren't completely full and was debating dessert as Holly needed to have a tiramisu whilst in Italy and they had crème brûlée but opted for a gelato for the walk back to the hotel which I posted about in the previous Milan post.

Really good recommendation and would say go there for dinner if you're in Milan!
