Last night we went to Danielle and Matt's house for our annual Christmas get together. They bought a house together and we were their first dinner party guests.
Kelly, Josh and David went and bought all the stuff for a roast and made it with Matt in their kitchen. As David is veggie he made us a nut roast.
We had nut roast and cauliflower cheese made by David. Yorkshire puddings and stuffing made by Josh. Then the veg, gravy and roast potatoes made by Matt. It was all so good - everyone's favourite were the roast potatoes, which were so crisp! Matt didn't think were his best, but he's set the bar high if they're not!
There was so much food and leftovers that Danielle and Matt will be eating for the next couple of days. After food we did secret santa which I opted out again but they all played with really good presents.
After that we played "What Do You Meme?" Like Cards Against Humanity but you have a photo of a meme and then play your best caption card to create the meme. We played the NSFW version and it was so funny - at one point David and Kelly absolutely lost it. Hannah not so impressed. We played quite a few rounds and I came joint first I think with Josh? But I won the first 2 rounds even though I didn't think my cards were that good. Hannah left us and we played Articulate in teams - Me and Kelly, David and Danielle, Josh and Matt. Josh and Matt came 1st, then me and Kelly, David and Danielle last. David and Danielle struggled with the "world" round which they landed on quite a few times.
It was a really good night, definitely better than going out and cheaper. Thanks to Danielle and Matt for hosting us! Head chefs Matt and David, sous chef Josh. Kelly for being buyer! Unfortunately I didn't help to contribute much other than eat, be the food critic and photographer..!
