Shanghai

Part 1

Long over due post of my trip to Shanghai back in April with my cousin Jess & her parents. This is part 1 as there's too many photos for the one post!
We flew from Hong Kong airport to Shanghai, only takes 2 hours.

Airport breakfast - Char siu baos

Dragon Air food not bad.

We were doing a tour package so flights, travel, hotel, different attractions & food were all provided as part of the package. We went with a Hong Kong company called Wing On Travel. Probably wouldn't use them again or recommend them as they weren't great. Unorganised & the tour guide who was with us on the coach had the most annoying voice. At the end of everything she would say "that's it yeah" (in Chinese not English, she spoke Cantonese during the whole tour.)

Also just Googled them & there's awful reviews of them.

We landed around lunch time & got on the coach. We got left to wander around Yuyuan Garden Shopping Street.

It's all very touristy buildings made to look like ancient ones with all different shops & stalls selling different food out of a window for you to try.

Shanghai is famous for it's xiao long baos which are little steamed dumplings filled with pork & soup. We went to the most famous place that sells them which was filled with people queuing to get into it.

Stinky tofu!

Everyone who goes to Shanghai has to try xiao long baos every stall has them!

We had some wor tips one of my favourites!

We went into the food court. If the photos that follow don't make your mouth water then I don't know what will...

Just looking back at these photos now is making we want to be back in that food court. The food looked so good! We didn't get anything as we didn't find this till at the end when we'd already eaten.

Hopefully getting part 2 up tomorrow! There's hardly any food on that post so don't worry about getting hungry after it!
