Allerton Manor

The Old Stables - Breakfast

Went to Allerton Manor Golf Club - The Old Stables with Jo and Sarah for breakfast this morning. We've not been out together for ages! Can't remember the last time we had a proper catch up it's been that long. Sarah hasn't even been in the gym with us she works that much! She was actually in work after so we were lucky to even get some time with her for breakfast.

There's only 3 things on the breakfast menu - full English breakfast, veggie breakfast or a bacon/sausage bap with optional egg. I did see someone get poached egg on toast which isn't on the menu so not sure if members get a different menu and get more choice? I would have definitely preferred that and on their Instagram I've seen avocado on toast...

Jo got the veggie breakfast - 2 veggie sausages, 2 hash browns, mushroom, tomato, beans, egg and toast

Me and Sarah both got the bacon and egg bap.

Jo got a choice of how she wanted her egg we never. The plate was nice but way too small - it was like a saucer side dish! Could have done with a proper full sized plate. You can't really go wrong with a fried egg and some bacon. The lunch/dinner menu looks good so will have to go back another time to try the food. It's nice in there as it's a golf club.

Sarah likes to get activity related presents so on Wednesday 9th December we're going to Chester Zoo to see the lanterns which looks good! Looking forward to that even though we've still not manged to go on last year's present due to corona sadly.

When I got back I baked some Matcha White Chocolate Cookies as I'm meeting Holly tomorrow and not seen her since March I said I'd bake her something when we next meet up. They didn't turn out as good as the first time as they're not as big and not sure why! But they still tasted good so that's all that matters. You eat with your mouth not your eyes and they do look like cookies!

Recipe here.
