CN Tower

We went up the CN Tower before we went to the aquarium. I thought I'd do a separate post just to drag out Toronto. I really wanted to do the edgewalk around the outside of the tower but prices started from $195 which is way too expensive. If it was cheaper I would have definitely done it. Our City Pass got us in there but unfortunately doesn't cover the extras!

Wished we stayed up there till it was dark as it would have looked just as good in the dark with all the lights.

This was the next level down that was open. It was so cold and windy as we were that high up.

They're really not that bothered about you taking photos. I was trying to be sneaky but you could tell I was and they never said anything unlike here where's it's like you've committed a crime. The photos were already printed they might as well have given them to us!

The views were so good we picked a good day where it was clear and not too sunny. Didn't realise it's the 3rd tallest tower in the world was the world's tallest free-standing observation and communications towers. CN stands for Canadian National, the railway company that built the tower.

Toronto Zoo and Ripley's Aquarium

Toronto Zoo

Day 2 in Toronto we went to the zoo! We bought a Toronto City Pass for $105.36 (£64.88) which we could use it at 6 different attractions with the zoo being one of them.

 Probably the worst zoo though as there was hardly any animals and most of the animals we did see were asleep! It was pretty hot though and we all got minor sun stroke so that might be the same for the animals.

The first animal we went to see was the Orangutan and it was so sad because it was asleep then it woke up and seen people staring at it and started to hide under a blanket. It was like it knew that it was on show but didn't want to be. 

Zoo's are sly on the animals as they aren't in the environment they're suppose to be and used to. They're stuck in a confined space with people just staring at them everyday and not free how they want and should be. But then for some animals it is safer and better for them to be in a zoo so they don't become endangered or poached. 

We didn't stay long as the 3 of us had sun stroke and did feel sly on the animals. 

Me and Tracy went to have lunch at a Chinese restaurant and Chris got off to have food somewhere else and have a nap back at the apartment.

Later on in the day we went to the aquarium that's at the bottom of the CN tower which is just a walk away from where we were staying.

The aquarium was also one of the places we could go with the city pass.

Animal and fish filled day! We did end up going to have seafood at Red Lobster after it as well... 

You get these savoury scones 

Chris got everything, lobster tail, prawns and asparagus. 

Me and Tracy got the same lobster, scallops and prawns with broccoli.

We need Red Lobster in the UK! But then again there is no seafood in the UK.
