Rock n Roll

Today was the Liverpool Rock n Roll Marathon which I should have been running. I was so sad and gutted that I wasn't doing it! :(

Got into town for before 9 with Jo, Rich and Sarah. The weather was perfect maybe a bit too hot for a marathon but anything is better than the rain and elements we've had to deal with! The race started at the Albert Dock. We watched the start of the Half Marathon that started at 9ish which Jack, his sister and cousin was running. Angie and her partner Jonny were also running too. Rich was suppose to run but decided not to cos he hadn't trained and didn't want to get a worse time. The full wasn't starting till around 10ish so we stayed with Jo and hyped her up ready to go.

Should've been matching with these 2 with my compression socks too!

This amazing woman's number 1 fan looking fresh before the big race.

You could go down and sign up on Friday night I was so tempted to walk down and sign up for the marathon cos I wanted to do it so bad but never.

We left them to start then headed to Love Thy Neighbour on Bold Street to have breakfast.

Love Thy Neighbour

Rich got a peanut butter hot chocolate

Clearly hungry... got a scrambled egg & smoked salmon bagel. Sausage and red onion sough dough sandwich

Sarah got the Cosmic Cacao Smoothie Bowl - banana, avocado, cacao

I got the Berry Blast Smoothie Bowl - raspberries, blueberries, pineapple, banana

I've had the smoothie bowl before when I went with Holly. Was a bit disappointed today though the smoothie was really thin and runny. It was defo thicker last time wouldn't say it was a smoothie.

After we headed back to the finish line which was at the back of the Echo Arena to see Jack finishing his race. After we headed into town.

We might not have ran any of the races but we did cross the start line!

We went into town to find Rich a neck strap (I think that's what it's called) for his sunglasses but went to every Home Bargains in town, every pound shop, bargain random shop, Primark, T K Maxx and every opticians but no-where sold them! The last place we went to was Boots opticians where we finally found them! Literally trekked all around town to find one. Practically doing our own half marathon there!

We went back to the finish line at around 2pm as we were tracking Jo and she was due to finish around quarter past.

She's amazing and absolutely smashed it with a time of 3:57:51. Beat that 4 hour mark we wanted! Didn't train further than 17 miles either but on the day just did it! I am so proud of her and literally look up to her at how amazing she is. I know if I was doing it I probably wouldn't have been able to keep up as she was so consistent averaging around 9 minute miles. I would've struggled so bad especially with that heat!

Rich thinking he's just ran a full marathon before Jo got her time engraved onto her medal. Absolute rip off for £12 for an actual second. We blinked and it was done!

Met up with Jo from work who ran the half with Iain from work. She wanted to meet the other amazing Jo since she gave us the plan for this marathon even though we didn't quite stick to it - it really helped thanks!

Jonny sadly didn't finish the race but he tried and managed to do half of it. Injury got the better of him but he did more than me by actually starting the race. We'll both do it next year and smash it! We've got our own coach that's been there done it and has the t-shirt to show for it!

Congratulations and well done to everyone who ran the half or full marathon or 1 miler today and the 5km race yesterday. You're all amazing and all the training is definitely worth it for that medal!!

Jo you're the best and I hope when I finally get to run a marathon my time is just as good as yours!

JESSIE J!

Jessie J - Alive Tour

Liverpool Echo Arena

Lawson

There was a girl before these Olivia Somerlyn who was quite good but people weren't really that interested in her.

Lawson were really good, they got a great reception as the lead singer Andy (who I love) is from Liverpool!

SO SO JEALOUS of the person who's phone it is!! :(

Phone photo!
So last night I finally went to see Jessie on her Alive Tour which was postponed from March. (I bought these tickets last June so it's been a long time coming!)
She was as always amazing, I had to hold back the tears so many times! I didn't think she would make me cry as this is the 2nd time I've seen her. I seen her on her first tour the Heartbeat Tour when she came 2 years ago. (Photos at the end of the last tour). She is definitely one of the best female vocalists around. Being completely honest I'm not that into the album Alive until last night when I heard the songs live which is partly why I wasn't expecting the tears. I do still prefer her first album Who You Are but she is one of the few artists who is so much better live which shows she is a true artist.

I was meant to be going with Holly again to see her but she has an ear infection so couldn't go so I actually ended up going on my own & meeting my cousin at the end! I really need to make some new friends who have the same music taste as me as no-one wanted to come with me! I queued up outside the arena from 5pm it was freeeezing!! I forgot to take an outfit post but I wore this with a cardi, hoodie & my leather jacket, a pair of socks, thick denier tights & a wooly pair of tights, my scarf & gloves & I was so so cold! I couldn't feel my face! But then there were girls who were just in dresses no tights, no jacket!! Which made me feel even more cold looking at them! They must've thought you get to queue inside which they really should do!

I was talking to these two girls who were in the queue with me & their friends had be queuing since 2pm the day before outside the arena! They were given a room in the hotel for the night, then ran to Sports Direct to buy a tent to camp out! So were right at the door. I then looked at tweets when I got back & seen that Jessie's manager gave them tickets to the VIP bit!! SO SO JEALOUS! But there is no way I could have queued from 2pm the day before even if I didn't have uni!!

I managed to get 2nd/3rd row yet again but there was a VIP area where people paid like £100s for their tickets then a catwalk that surrounded their bit then us normal people. But she was so good she made sure she went to every part of the stage. It felt very intimate considering it was an arena!
I think she sounds so different in real life than when she does tv/radio interviews when she speaks & sings. She pulled out all the stops with 5 dress changes, confetti canons & wind machines. When she went to get changed she played videos on the big screen. I didn't even realise till now that each section of the show spelt out A-L-I-V-E which matched each dress change to the songs giving out messages!

I also took a few videos for me to relive it all again! She didn't have any special guests which I was quite surprised. She sang all the songs herself with her 3 backing vocal girls. On the last tour she brought out Devlin who was one of the support acts to help her sing Price Tag. She interacted with us so much & even said she spoke loads to us compared to the others she's done. She was so funny trying to do a scouse accent! I'll shut up now & just finish off by saying if you get the chance to see Jessie you should go & see her! I know quite a lot of people don't like her but you can't say she's hasn't got an amazing voice & is amazing with her fans! When I seen her last time we waited for her to come out as it was much smaller intimate gig & she made sure she signed EVERYTHING before she left even with security pushing her!

So close to her!! I have the same hat too from Accessorize! I looked everywhere for it!

The Albert Dock
The Pumphouse Pub
Danielle
Moto Llama Print Pinafore Dress - Topshop
Black long sleeve top - Primark
White Hi-Top Converse - Mum bought from Hong Kong last year
Wooly cardi - Gap sale (2/3 years ago)
Studded leather jacket - Matalan (2 years ago)
Bag - Marc B, Bought from Topshop Liverpool
Gold Chain - Forever 21

Just some photos from my random day out in Liverpool today. Which Me & Danielle like to do when we're off Uni! Danielle did a bit of shopping in town, she bought 2 rolls of wrapping paper which she had to carry round all day which was a pain cos it wouldn't fit in her bag & she just didn't know what to do with them! She kept dropping them & knocking things off the shelves in stores :')
While we were at the Albert Dock we went into an old war house we didn't even know existed, that we could go in, was interesting. We went into the Martime Museum to the "seized" bit. Danielle's still scared of the weird dummy's they have in there, they are pretty scary like & we have bad memories from when we went with 6th form 2 years ago now!

I say this all the time I love Liverpool! It's my hometown which I've lived in all my life. I don't get why people who live here don't like it, it has pretty much everything you need & want! It's so nice, has some amazing buildings & places to visit! I would definitely recommend you visit it if you've never been before has loads of amazing tourist attractions too!

Danielle took some photos of my outfit, this is what I wore today...
I love my pinafore I bought like a month ago but only wore it today for the 1st time! Loving maroon at the moment it's a great Autumn/Winter colour definitely the new black! It has llama prints, looks very Chritmassy! :-)
