GRAZE.COM

Nibble Box
This is my first graze box which was free thanks to my lovely friend Holly! I've been meaning to try them for a long time as you can get your first box for free but didn't know whether I'd like the stuff. But Holly's been getting them for a while & I tried some of the ones she's had I thought why not try it & give it a go it's free who doesn't love a freebie??

You just go online & sign up then choose the stuff you like by clicking either try, like, love & they'll only send you the stuff you want. If there's something you really don't want them to send you, you can bin them & you will never get it unless you change it. I chose to try most things, apart form the spicy and cheesy stuff as I can't eat spicy stuff & don't like cheese! I chose all the fruit stuff as I love fruit! You can choose between two boxes the Nibble Box or Nutrition Box.

Nibble Box = you can get anything from flapjacks, nuts, seeds, dried fruit, bread, crackers, chocolate coated stuff
Nutrition Box - Is a lot more healthier with just the healthiest foods which have been designed by the nutrition team
If you choose Nutrition Box you can choose a nutrition plan - eatwell box, boost box or light box where you'll get certain foods tailored to your plan.

In my nibble box today I got:
Very Norish - Japanese seaweed rice crackers - these were nice but bit spicy because of the seaweed
Fruit & Seed Flapjack - 3 mini slices of oat flapjack with mixed seeds and dried fruits - It was really nice I enjoyed them could eat more!
Fruit & Nut Case - Milk chocolate drops, jumbo raisins & hazelnuts - This was alright I would have preferred without the chocolate as I don't really like chocolate!
Festival Fruits - Dried pear, apple, pitted dried plums & blackcurrants - This was nice but the fruit was quite sour!

They're meant to be snacks but I ate them all for my breakfast this morning as they came quite early with Saturday's post!
You can try them & get your first box free using my code! :-)

Happy Boxing Day! :-)

Christmas Day

Traditional Christmas lunch at Nanny Wing's
Traditional Christmas lunch at Nanny Wing's
Uncle Ray's girlfriend Christine made these! There's cheesecake inside then on the outside different chocolates. Orange chocolate, white chocolate covered in coconut, white chocolate covered in nuts & strawberry chocolate! They were too sweet for me
My little 5 year old cousin Brandon (well his mum my auntie) made us little parcels from toilet roll & inside there was a lego keyring (as he loves lego), a little charm, & some maoam sweets :-)
Me & Tracy
Me & Tracy
Laura & Tracy & Me the Wing cousins. I'm the tallest Wing girl :-)
Me & Frodo in my house
Long black cardi - New Look Kids (4/5 years ago)
Navy Lace Collar Top - Topshop
Moto wet look coated skinny jeans - Topshop (Last Year)
Gold Chain - Forever 21

I hope yous all had a nice Christmas & boxing day & ate loads! I definitely ate far too much at my Gran's! We had roast turkey, gammon & roast pork & a load of veg! It was nice but I forgot to take my won gravy so had to make do with the horrible one that everyone had :( After food we just chilled & watched tv :-)

All I got was money nothing too exciting which I wasn't expecting as my parents always buy me things I don't like so it's easier to just give me money to spend on whatever I want I guess!

After Nanny Wing's we came home to pick my mum up as she didn't go she was working we went to my other cousin's (mum's older sister) who live in Northwich. My cousin's weren't there though they were at their boyfriends as they were at home for lunch & went to their boyfriends for dinner so I was bored & wasn't hungry to have da beano (Chinese hotpot). My mum's younger sister & her 2 kids Jackey & Lisa (younger cousin's) were there.

I hope yous all watched Eastenders (I watch is religiously everyday!) I'm so glad Derek is dead! I hate him! He's vile & just ruins everyone's lives! I don't get why Joey was the first to go to him as I'm sure he's the first person to want him to be dead & he actually called him dad for like the first time in 20 years! It was a pretty dramatic episode as always!

Boxing Day

Today I went to the match to see Everton v Wigan at home. As my 2 uncle's Ray & Mike are season ticket holders but Ray couldn't go to the match so let me go instead. I love going to the match! The atmosphere is so good & I love football when I was in primary school I actually wanted to be a footballer & played for a girl's team. I wasn't that good so I stopped & it's so hard to be a footballer it's probably harder than being a radio/tv presenter (which is what I want to do now, I obviously don't want an easy route to my future!)

The seats are Lower Gwladys Street so the view is pretty good & while the players were warming up I nearly got hit in the face by the ball it flew over my head luckily!

The match finished Everton 2-1 (Osman & Jagielka) The game wasn't that good definately not the best match I've been to but none the less it's a win for Everton! Keeps us in the top 5 & everytime I've been to see Everton they've either won or drawn! I haven't seen them lose yet which means I should get a season ticket & go to every match...

I hope yous all have had a good Christmas period & enjoy New Years Eve & get drunk! This limbo week up to New Years is always a bit strange never know what to do! I'll be trying to get some work done & hopefully make the most of these sales but so far I've had no luck!

Holly's 20th night out :-)

Dress worn as a top - H&M (Given by cousin)
Skirt - Internacionale Kids
Studded Belt - Forever 21
Tights - New Look (these were also 25p!)
Grey socks - Mum's
Heels - Miss Selfridge January Sale
Leather Jacket - Matalan (2 years ago)
Gold Chain Necklace - Forever 21
Gold Spiked Bracelet - Birthday present off Danielle

It was actually Holly's birthday on Tuesday (a week before Christmas) so we went out for her birthday on Saturday. We went to Rosie's before where Holly curled my hair & Gabby did my eyelashes (as I'm in capable of doing either. Yes I'm a 'rubbish girl')

We went to Salt Dog Slim's which we've never been to was quite packed as it's small then went to Maya which is new & has a day of the dead theme. Also pretty packed, me & Holly liked it but the others didn't so we went to old Baa Bar & stayed there for a bit & met up with Joel from Oxfam who's actually turned into mine & Holly's older brother. So funny when he's drunk. He followed us to Cava where we got free drinks as Rosie knows the people who work there & went to Djangos where we also got free drinks as that's where Rosie works.

It was a pretty cheap night I didn't spend much money & was a nice night. Surprisingly wasn't that packed places were pretty empty but then some places like Aloha which we wanted to go to had a queue outside but then again it's pretty small & Cava were charging £1 to get in. Me & Holly rang a taxi & it came straight away as they had one in the area & got in at like 4. Rosie & Gabby stayed out.

I didn't like my outfit it was pretty much thrown together last minute as I couldn't find anything to wear! All the shops are rubbish at the moment me & Holly spent all week in town looking for something & had no luck! Which is quite surprising as you'd think they'd be good for Christmas!

I hope yous all have a nice Chritmas tomorrow & get spoilt with the stuff you want! (I doubt I will my family are crap with presents sadly :() Have a nice roast dinner & enjoy family time & tv! I'll do a post after Christmas of my outfit & what I got! :-)

First Christmas Dinner of the year!

Dress - Zara (in the summer sale when I went to Spain)
Belt - Forever 21
Bag - Marc B (bought from Topshop)
I also wore my mum's vintage black blazer with shoulder pads in
Holly did my hair!

Just a post of my outfit from last night.
Me & Holly went to Oxfam's Christmas meal. We've both been volunteering at the furniture store on Smithdown Road since the end of July. We really deserved this meal as we work the hardest & do the most compared to everyone else especially when we had the old manager. (We only work on Saturday mornings but we still do so much more than others who work with us!)
We both had the same thing, turkey with all the trimmings & strawberry waffle cheesecake with cream. The roast was alright but the gravy wasn't nice as I'm really fussy I only like the Maysan gravy & won't have any other & this was like water far too thin for my liking! The cheesecake wasn't that nice either we both like a super thick biscuit base but this was like paper thin & I don't like cream! But we both did manage to finish it all but left the cream.

Everyone was offering to buy us drinks which was nice but we felt bad so only had 3 drinks each. They were all pretty drunk, we were the only sober ones. Our manager bought some raffle tickets they were selling & gave stripes to us & I won the first number 521! I had to go to the bar & choose a box numbered 1-10. One of the prizes was £50, then there were bottles of wine & crisps! I chose number 5 well Holly did & I won a bottle of Prosecco! I've never won anything before so I was so happy! But it was horrible so the bottle got passed round to everyone. Another volunteer from Oxfam also won on the raffle but he got a packet of crisps. No-one won the £50 it was in box 10!
We decided to do the pub quiz & we won! Team Smithdown woooo! With a bit of help from our friend Google just to double check on some answers that we already knew just weren't too sure on.. The prize was a £20 bar tap so everyone got a drink & the manager Ashley paid the extra.

So overall we had a good night as I'd never won anything before, or a pub quiz! Sadly for them me & Holly are taking a break as we have coursework & exams & won't be working until February! Don't know how they're going to cope without us as we do everything for them!

Monochrome

Cardi - New Look kids (3/4 years ago)
Lace Shirt - Topshop (Last year)
Black & White ribbon - had lying around the house (you can buy from the haberdashery Studded Belt -  Forever 21
Skirt - internacionale kids
Leather Bike Boots - Oasis (Asos Sale, 2 years ago)
Fluffy wedges - Tesco (Mum's)

I looked a bit like a school/6th form student today in this outfit as I'm sure strict schools/college's who have a black & white 'uniform' would be allowed to wear this. Luckily when I was in 6th form we were allowed to wear anything with no dress code apart from like no offence t-shirts & dress appropriately. Which I liked but kinda wish we did have a uniform as it was so hard choosing outfits! Making sure you didn't wear the same thing, dress nice, have enough clothes etc!

It's a bit poo that all my photos have been taken in my dinning room, it's cos the weather's been rubbish just constantly raining & cold! :( Hopefully I will get some outfit posts from outside when the weather is nicer!

Today was the last day of semester 1 yayyyy! But it turns out I actually have 3 essays due in the same day! So I have 8,000 words all in for Monday 14th January & then an exam Thursday 21st January! I'm really not going to have a Christmas & just stressing out! I have another random grey strand of hair in my 'fringe' :( I had one in 6th form as I was so stressed then! Hopefully I can try do a little bit of work everyday to try ease the stress (probably won't happen though knowing me!)

I still haven't bought any Christmas presents & still looking for my Christmas outfit it's really not going good! If anyone has any suggestions of where I should look as I have been into every shop in town (Liverpool!) Then please comment & let me know! :)

12/12/12 - 12 days till Christmas

Blue Checked Shirt - Urban Outfitters Sale (2 years ago)
Green Jumper with Side Zip - Asos Sale

What my hair did look like when I did it... I just curled them with my mum's cheap £10 straighners. But I did it like 2 hours before I left the house & did cake my hair in hairspray but my hair is the worst, it just doesn't style all it does is be straight & boring! So it was a good attempt for me to try & curl it! I just pulled it all to one side to make it look as if I have a shaved part

Skirt - Actually my Llama Print Pinafore Dress - Topshop (From Helloooo! :-) Post)
Shirt - Mum's vintage like 20 years old
Tights - New Look bought last year they were only 25p!
Heels - Miss Selfridge, January Sale

This is what I wore last night to my mate Danielle's uni house, Christmas Party as we've just handed in our last essay for Christmas! (I have another 3 due in after Christmas, 2 on the same day! Then the other a week after & 3 days after that an exam! So over 'the holidays' I have 8,000 words to write! No Christmas for me then :'( )

The skirt is actually my Topshop llama print pinafore I wore in my very first post. I just tucked the top bit into the skirt to make it look like it's just a skirt! So I have 2 outfits in 1! :)
I love this shirt which is my mum's which is about 20+ years old. It has shoulder pads in it which I love! Because I have quite small shoulders I like wearing shoulder padded stuff which all my mum's vintage clothes seem to have & fit me! (I'll do a post of all my mum's vintage stuff soon!) To make my shoulders broader as bags are always sliding off my shoulders which is so annoying :(

The party was alright wasn't the best party. Don't think I was drunk enough! I did have a good time though & stayed over for the night.
I'm really not feeling the Christmas spirit even though Christmas is only 12 days away now! It feels like the middle of September! I actually haven't bought any presents yet, I'm just the worst at present buying I never know what to buy for people!
I also need to buy my Christmas clothes but shops are rubbish lately, there's nothing I like! Hopefully they'll bring some nice stuff out & I'll be sorted soon!

Also today is 12/12/12 which will be the last time we'll ever have the same day, month, year all in one! & so far we're all still alive & the world hasn't ended yet! (I don't believe in all that rubbish we'll see Christmas & 2013!)

Jules' Bakery

I have a love of baking sadly I wouldn't say I'm the best baker or opening my own bakery just yet! As I have had some 'disasters' (I put far too much milk when making scones the other month when you're only meant to put a drop in to help make it more fluffy & soft. I kinda poured a whole glass in... Oops! But they did turn out alright & edible as you'll see in the photos below!)

Most things I've tried have turned out ok & look nice. Everything I have made has been edible which I've eaten myself & my family so that's always a good thing even if there have been some mistakes along the way! You just learn & improve for the next time that's for sure!

Peanut Butter & Banana Oatmeal Squares

Yesterday I decided to try making Peanut Butter & Banana Oatmeal Squares again which I tried in the summer but didn't turn out that good as it's an American recipe where they measure things awkwardly in cups! Everyone should just measure things the same in grams & ml! This time I made sure I converted all the measurements as accurately as I could & it did turn out a lot better! It could have done with a bit more sugar but they're suppose to be healthy so don't have that much sugar in it!

Mix before it went in the oven
Once it was baked & taken straight out of the oven
The first attempt I made it in the summer

This is the recipe for it...

1 & ½/cups/128g/4 & 1/2oz - Oats
¼/55g/19oz - Light Brown Sugar
1 tsp - Baking Powder
1/2 tsp - Salt
1 tsp - Cinnamon (both attempts I didn't have any!)
1 tsp - Vanilla Extract½/125ml - Milk
1 Large - Egg
1 Large - Banana
¼/65g/2.3oz - Crunchy Peanut Butter

Mix all the dry ingredients together with the vanilla extract, milk & egg. Then mix in the banana & peanut butter. Once all mixed, spread it out evenly on baking paper (I recommend Tesco own's baking paper as it's the best one & really doesn't stick unlike the others) on a baking tray then put it in the oven for about 20 minutes 200°C
Easy as that!

Coconut Scones

I also made coconut scones. They were meant to be sultana scones but we couldn't get any sultanas so used desiccated coconut instead for more flavour! (You can always keep them plain then put butter/margarine/jam on it!)

Nanny Wing's recipe I learnt the other month whilst she also taught me & my cousin to make apple pie & her pasta with her 2 secret ingredients! :-)

3oz/85g - Margarine
½lb/8oz/227g -  Self Raising Flour
2oz/57g - Sugar
2 - Eggs
Drop of Milk (Save some to brush over the top)
Pinch of Salt

Just mix all the ingredients together to make sure it turns into a nice dough.

Then using a rolling pin sprinkles with flour roll out the dough to make it flat & using a cutter, cut the dough into even size & even thickness. Place on a tray lined with baking paper (Tesco own baking paper recommended)
Bake for 10-15 Minutes at 180-200°C

If you want to make the coconut ones just pour in desiccated coconut into the mixture (as much or as little as you want depending on how coconutty you want it to taste) & sprinkle some on top before it goes in the oven.

That easy! But make sure you only put a tiny drop of milk in otherwise they'll look like this...

Looks like a dog's head!
As the mixture was too wet from the milk it was really sticky! Scones are meant to be quite dry so they ended up looking like this! One of them looks like a dogs head a bit like my little dog! Can you see it?

They were meant to look like this...
This was when me & my cousin went to Nanny Wing's & she taught us how to make them clearly I couldn't even follow a simple recipe properly!

Apple Pie

We also learnt how to make apple pie!
This recipe actually makes 2 apple pies
1lb/16oz/454g - Self Raising Flour
6oz/170g - Lard or Magarine/Butter
Sugar - Up to you how sweet you want it as you'll probably have it with custard!
Pinch of Salt
Drop of Water

3 Large Apples - Chopped, Skewed & Cooled

Milk - To brush over the top to give it a nice golden glow

Mix all the ingredients together (apart from the apple) to make a pastry. You can blind bake the pastry if you want it to be crispy but we didn't & the base wasn't soggy!

Cut out 4 big circle for the base of the pie & put onto a pastry lined tin then fill it with the apples & place the top over it & pinch the edges with a fork & cut 2 slits in the middle to let steam out. Then brush over with milk!
Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes at 200°C

Easy as! & Of course we ate it with a lot of custard! :-) Mmm

I've baked a lot of different this year attempting, almond macarons, a giant fairy cake, flapjacks, sultana cookies, ginger bread dinosaurs & white chocolate rice crispy cakes!
You can see photos of them on my tumblr page tagged my baking
or on my instagram or twitter where I like to post my baking skills!
While you're there you can follow me on all 3! :-)

If you haven't baked you should really try it! It's so much fun & really isn't that hard when you find a really good recipe! Start with something simple like scones or rock cakes or fairy cakes! I'm sure once you start you won't be able to stop! & you have to try them once they come straight out the oven warm & fresh that's when they're the nicest. Left for a couple or hours/next day just isn't the same :(

Happy Baking! :-)

Also would like to say congratulations to Prince William and Kate the Duke & Duchess on their wonderful news! They're having baby!! They're going to be amazing parents & of course Uncle Harry & Great Nanny Queen Liz! I'm so happy for them.
I really hope it's a little girl so the new law of it is a girl she will automatically be 3rd in line to the thrown even if she has a younger brother!
2012 really has been Great Britain's year with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, The Olympic & Paralympics I am definitely proud to be British!

Christmas Wish List!

TOPSHOP

AJ Cut Out Heavy Ankle Boot - £95
These are like the Jeffrey Campbell Roscoe boots but I think these are nicer & a lot more cheaper & 'affordable' (Still think these are expensive though!)
Been after a pair of ankle boots & are stuck between these or them --->
Adonis2 Cut Out Boots - £75 (First out were £95)
These are cheaper than <---- & have been wanting them for a couple of months now & actually sold out & had a fault on the buckle but have been re-released with a different buckle & cheaper!

Amaze 2 Eva Stripe Wedge Boots - £75

These are like the Henry Holland wedges worn on tights packets for the suspender tights & are a lot cheaper & affordable! I've been wanting a pair of wedges for ages & these are just perfect!
Prickle Premium Chelsea Boots - £120
I have a bit of an obsession with shoe boots at the moment & these are studded! Just perfect for me! <3
MOTO Acid Spray Hotpants - £32
I have an obsession with high waitsted shorts & just shorts in general...
Zip Out Borg Clean Parka - £100
They had this coat in last year but it was navy & I really wanted it as it's the perfect coat I'm looking for a waterproof fur lined parka! Is it really too might to ask for?! The only reason I didn't buy it last year & not bought it now is I really don't think it's worth the £100 price tag...
Spike Drape Ear Cuff - £7.50
Love ear cuffs but £7.50 for 1?! That's really expensive!!
Pearl Swirl Ear Cuff - £6.50
Love this! Not seen anything like this around!
Twisted Link Rope Necklace - £10
Obsessed & love layered necklaces! Especially chain gold ones! <3 I really want a vintage Chanel One :(
Extra Long Ball Chain Necklace - £12.50
How is this necklace more expensive than that one <--- ?? It's only one & that one is like 3 in 1??

ZARA

Zip Biker Coat - £119
Wish I could afford this :(
Studded Check Shirt £39.99
My 3 favourite things.. Studs + checked shirt & green!
Studded Ankle Boots with Straps - £129
So expensive! But the leather looks so nice!
Studded Bike Ankle Boot - £79.99
I really really want these! But I've already got a pair of leather bike boots I got last year but they haven't got studs on or look as nice as these :(

I just want everything from Zara but it's gone so expensive lately! :( & the quality is still quite rubbish sadly so it's not really worth the price tag! Spanish made clothes seem to be all rubbish quality, they really need to sort it out because they can't charge that much when it clearly isn't worth it!

NIKE

Nike Blazer Mid Vintage Leather Light Charcoal Sail - £66.99 (Office)
I've been after these grey leather blazers for like a year now! At first they only seem to sell the suede ones which I do like but in England with our crappy weather suede really isn't the most suitable material! They would just get ruined once you step foot out of the house! I think grey is the best colour as it goes with anything more than black & white (I wouldn't mind them either!) but I think with what I wear grey would be better
Nike Blazer Mid Leather Trainers Maroon - £67 (Asos)
I love the colour of these but I don't really own anything maroon other than my pinafore so it'd be hard to colour co-ordinate!
Nike x Liberty
At the start of this year Liberty London collaborated with Nike to produce these pretty blazers!
I love these so much they're so pretty & love the colours! <3 Sadly they're now sold out & I can't seem to find these anywhere I'm dying for this pair!
Nike x Liberty
They actually made quite a few different designs. These 2 are my favourite I can't really decide which pair I prefer more! If anyone wants to buy me either (or both) I really won't complain!

DR MARTENS

Dr Marten Spike Boot - £275 (Dr Martens Website)
These are amazing I've been wanting a pair of Dr Martens for a few years now + spikes!! <3 I just can't afford them even though I would wear them 275 times so would get my wear for them! I just can't part with that amount of money on one item! :(
Dr Martens Harlen Shoe - £195 (Dr Martens Website)
I've also been wanting a pair of brogues & spikes! Just <3

BELTS

Zara Belt with Flat & Cone Studs - £19.99
Studs & Spikes belt! <3
H&M Belt - £6.99
How cool is this belt with the double buckle??

Hollister Easy Fit Trestles Beach Sweater - £44
I love this jumper it just looks so snug & comfy! But £44 is a lot for a jumper considering my nan knitted me a long cardi for less that £6! Hollister has gone up in price I remember when they first opened their store in Liverpool One & had a sale I got my checked shirts for only £13, hoodie for £16 & jeans for £13 too! But there is no way you can get anything that cheap now!
Adidas 3 stripe essential hoody - £45 (JD Sports website)
Love this hoody & the colours of the stripes!

American Apparel Riding Pants - £64
Even though I don't like American Apparel as it is extremely over priced plain sports wear, with a porn website I love the riding, disco pants & shorts but they are so expensive & the quality isn't even good either! They've gone up in price as well now but I really really want a pair of green riding pants (or blue or black!) But there is no way I'm paying £64 for them. Shops need to hurry up with their copies!
Motel Black Medusa Leather Look Skater Dress - £57.99 (Ark Website)
3 of my favourite things in 1 again! Studs + Leather + Skater dress! But with this price tag you could mistake it for a real leather dress!

SpiritHoods Grey Wolf - £99 (Asos)
I've been wanting a SpirtiHoods for agesss! But can't decide which is my favourite I think these too are but they have loads of different animals. I think £99 is far too expensive though!
SpiritHoods Red Fox - £99 (Asos)
Looks so warm & lovely fluffy! :(

So these are just some of the things I really want at the moment! However this list of "wanting" & "needing" is never ending as it just adds by the minute when I see something else! I've just seen something else I want to add onto this but I think there's enough already here! I doubt I'll end up getting any of these items for Christmas as my parents never buy me what I want or listen but I'll hopefully try & snatch some of these items in the sales after Christmas. Definitely a pair of ankle boots & grey Nike Blazers! :-) (I like to label myself as a well dressed poor person ;))
I love that studs & leather is so in at the moment as I do have a crazy obsession with studs & leather I don't really know why but they are the perfect combination! <3

What I want most for Christmas is actually standing tickets to see The Killers at Wembley in June 2013! I keep telling my dad everyday but I don't think he's listening to me so I might just have to buy them for myself again as I finally got to see them in my hometown 3 weeks ago Friday (Friday 9th November 2012) & it was the best day of my life I touched Brandon Flowers!!! <3 They were amazing & surprisingly standing Wembley tickets aren't that much more than what I paid for standing in the Echo Arena! It'll just be travelling & possibly accommodation in London that will cost me quite a bit but I'm sure it'll be worth the once in a life time chance!
Car insurance would be great too as I past 1st time over a year now & only driven about 5x & not been left on my own! & gym membership forever dreaming of a 6 pack :(

Anyway that's enough from me for now.. I really don't ask for much.. If anyone wants to buy me anything that's been mentioned in this post I will love you & won't have a clue how I will repay you but you will be remembered & be the best person ever, I will be so happy you won't understand!
