UGG x Liberty Art Fabrics

Liberty have got a new collaboration & this time it's with UGG Australia. Everyone's favourite sheep skin boots. The collection has taken prints from 2 of Liberty's art fabrics, Strawberry Thief which was originally created by William Morris in 1883. It's a classic print that incorporates ornate birds & delicate blossoms. The other print is The Misti which dates back to the 1950s. It features a print that plays on Liberty's history with the Japanese cherry blossom.

Quintessentially British and a fixture in fashion for over 140 years, Liberty is renowned the world over for its pioneering prints. We partnered with the icon of high street fashion to update some of our most beloved silhouettes with signature prints from Liberty’s archives.

I really like the classic mini in black with the strawberry thief print. I wasn't a fan of the classic mini uggs I didn't see the point in them but I've grown to like them. I would rather pay more for the normal classic length ones though. These are available to buy on the UGG Australia website now. They will be available on the Liberty London website from Monday 25th January.

On the photos there's a navy pair but they're not currently on the UGG Australia website for sale so I'm guessing they might be available when they come out on the Liberty website.

UGGs are like Marmite people either absolutely love them or hate them. But they really are the comfiest things you'll ever wear so I can't see how people can hate them. They are expensive though, not everyone can afford them. The way I see it though if you can't afford the real thing then I don't have a problem with people buying cheap alternatives. The issue I have is people buying fakes & thinking they're real or they've been conned into thinking they're genuine. Like if you want to copy something you don't need to put the tag/name/label on it when it clearly isn't the real thing.

Pains Aux Raisins

Freshly baked Pains Aux Raisins. My mum got 2 boxes of the jus-rol pains aux raisins as they'd been reduced in Morrison's to 65p. They're currently on offer 2 for £3.

They're really easy to make & definitely a cheat to baking pastry! All you do is cut them into the size you want put them on baking paper & you just bake, easy as that!

It comes in a tube that you unravel then you cut it into however thick you want. I cut mine a bit too thin & ended up with more than what the pack said you'd get out of them.

As I cut them too thin they were crispy & more like them spiral biscuits you get when you go to European countries. I don't know what they're called but they usually come in like a heart shape..

The box said to bake them for 9-11 minutes at 200°C but our oven's old & really slow it ended up taking 30 minutes until they were golden brown. They're really nice, I love a pains aux raisin, not quite the same pastry you get in the shop but good enough!

Jus-Rol have loads of different pastries you can just throw in the oven, with croissants, pains aux chocolate & also just plain roll out pastry so you can make your own things whether you want to make a pie or tart.

Liberty Tavern

I went to the Liberty Tavern tonight for Suzanne's leaving meal. She left before Christmas but people weren't free before then so we ended up doing it tonight. We went to the Liberty Tavern which is only up the road from mine next to the Elephant pub. We were meant to be going to the Elephant but they wouldn't let us book a table then wouldn't let a group of 9 in. I met up with them at half 7 as I wasn't eating, only to show my face & have a drink. I only ended up having an orange juice as I was driving. (Yes it's only a 10/15 min walk but I decided to drive. This is what happens when you have the luxury of a car, get super lazy).

Considering it's only up the road from mine this is the first time I've been, I did used to be called the Bubble & never went to it then. It's expensive for food & drink which is probably why I've never been but I do want to try the £50 steak & lobster to share.

Suzanne, Laura & Danielle

Best of a bunch of photos, as Danielle really isn't a good photographer at all & she knows it. (Hi Danielle if you're reading this, I hope you are.)

I was nice to catch up whilst not in work. As we don't really get the chance to talk to each other & our shifts clash.

Twenty Sixteen

Happy New Year!

2015 went in a flash & it's already 2016! I remember exactly what happened the last new year's eve so how is it already 2016!? It's crazy how fast time flies when you are & aren't having fun. 2016 is already looking to be better than 2015 with Vietnam booked for a week then 2 weeks in China with a couple of days in Hong Kong in between. I haven't been since I was 14 which was 8 years ago, so it'll be nice to be able to see my grandparents (mum's parents) & some of the family as we obviously never get to see each other. Being able to travel & see the world is something I've always wanted to do so hopefully there's more places planned for the year!

I'm also loving being able to drive. I feel so independent & free being able to go places on my own without having to rely on my mum & dad or someone giving me a lift. The only thing is I can only use the car when my parents aren't using them but it's better than nothing for now & I have been using it quite a bit the past few weeks. Making the most of it while I can!

As tradition went to nanny Wing's for New Year lunch. We had Chinese & lobster which Auntie Christine's dad make for us but sadly she was working so didn't join us but little Lucas made an appearance.
