Pumpkin Picking

Went pumpkin picking with Jo and Sarah today. Obviously after going to the gym this morning. We went to Church View Farm in Lydiate which is like a 25 minute drive.

I don't think I realised till this year that you could actually go pumpkin picking in the UK. I always though it was an American thing as they love Halloween.

It wasn't quite what I was expecting I thought you had to like pull the pumpkins out yourself from the ground and not actually like placed there. As it's the last weekend till Halloween there was hardly any pumpkins left. The ones that were left were battered and mashed. As they'd ran out there was ones they had to bring in. There were 3 for £10.

We had more fun pushing each other round in the wheelbarrow more than actually looking for a pumpkin...

We then went back to Jo's to carve our pumpkins!

Yep I carved my first ever pumpkin at 25... It was fun can't say it was anything I was missing out on like. I'm not really excited to have to do it again like but I'm glad to say I have carved one and didn't cause any damage or injury!

Had a fun day out! When Rich came back we went to the cinema to see Halloween. I didn't want to go as I hate scary films. I'm such a wimp I hate jumpy stuff like that spent most the film with my hands over my eyes and at one point I did nearly jump on Sarah. The film was rubbish, don't get how people enjoy films like that at all. I don't think I'm sleeping tonight and I've got work in the morning!

Post Gym

Post Gym Pizza - Crust

It's Sarah's birthday today and she made it to the gym even though she was defo drunk as she'd been out for lunch with her parents and had a few glasses of prosecco. We trained arms - bi's and tri's then decided we'd go to Crust for some pizza! We definitely earnt it.

Yeah we turned up in gym clothes...

Got there just after 6:30pm it was packed had to wait a bit for a table but once we ordered the food, it came really quick.

Sarah got the Italiana - buffalo mozzarella, rocket, cherry tomatoes and parma ham with the five grain base.

I got the Pescatore - seafood, linguine, clams, mussels, prawns, calamari, cherry tomatoes & garlic

It was nice not the best I've had though. Forced myself to eat the whole thing was so full after it could've went back to the gym to burn it off.

Seen someone get something with a candle and was serenaded for their birthday so told the waiter it was Sarah's birthday. He said he will see what he could do. A different waiter came over with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and was like vanilla? We were so confused like no we didn't order ice cream.. Then he went to go back and the other waiter took it off him put a candle in it then 4 others came over to serenade Sarah! If you go on my instagram @Juki_W you can hear my terribly scouse voice as they made me sing happy birthday as well. Poor Sarah hated it and didn't even want the ice cream so I ended up having it.

When we got the bill they tried to charge me £1.50 for the ice cream! I thought I basically serenaded Sarah to get free ice cream but it turns out.. I paid £1.50 to serenade Sarah and get a scoop of ice cream. So I questioned it and the waiter was like no we can't but I wasn't having any of it so he ended up speaking to the manager who ended up taking it off the bill. It's a joke as if they couldn't give away a scoop of ice cream as a birthday treat.

Hope you had a good birthday Sarah! I'm annoyed they tried to charge me for that birthday ice cream but it was so funny. Unplanned things are the best!

Pre Birthday

Went to The Elephant in Woolton Village last night for Sarah's pre birthday (her birthday's next Friday). We actually went the gym before we went out. I finished work at 3 and made it in for 4. We stayed till 5:30. Didn't go out till 9ish so we had plenty of time to get a session in!

Far from a wild night in The Elephant but that's only cos they don't do Malibu for me so I had gin and it's disgusting! Sarah had a wild night though ending up in town but I couldn't hack it was so ready for bed! It makes a change going out but drinking really isn't for me! Did all manage to make it into the gym this morning too.
