Free Meal

Last night me, Holly & Gabby finally went for our free meal we won last month after winning the pub quiz. We had to find an evening we were all free & when Gabby happened to be home as she goes to uni in Manchester.

We got a bottle of Prosecco which Holly pretty much drank herself as me & Gabby didn't like it. We then got to choose a main each.

Holly got the herb roasted chicken breast Braised butter beans & tomatoes, hazelnut crumb. With a side of honey roast carrots, beets & greens.

I got warm sea bass nicoise Pan fried, French beans, Roma tomato, black olives, crispy hen’s egg, Dijon mustard dressing.

I didn't get the mustard as I don't like mustard but my meal was really nice so was Holly's side of veg.

Gabby got tomato, fior di latte, fresh basil. Margarita basically.

Not a great snap chat photo.

After we ordered I seen other people eating lobster which is a bit weird & very upmarket for a pub. Holly decides to tell me it might be the special for the night which led to me sitting there staring jealousy at other people making a mess eating their lobster. I wish I got lobster! :(

It was a really nice night to just catch up & enjoy a free meal. Hopefully we'll be able to do the pub quiz again maybe in the Easter break when Gabby's home & win another free meal!
I had an issue with my orange juice though it was definitely off & they had to open a new carton for me.

Happy Chinese New Year

So yesterday was the first day of the new Lunar Year! The year of the sheep/ram/goat. I'm going with sheep.

As like every year we went to Nanny Wing's to have dinner.

Nanny Wing's birthday happens to fall near Chinese New Year & Auntie Christine made her a birthday cake. Sadly she wasn't there tonight to give it to her as she was working.

She really needs her own bakery her cakes are so good! I didn't eat the cake though as it was filled with cream & I don't like cream! But I did the other stuff she made the first is Chinese pastry with bean paste filled & the second that looks like bean paste sausage roll! They were really nice!

Moneyyyy!

I was stressing out before we went to my gran's as we had to wait for my dad to come home from work before we could go & I was on a countdown as EastEnders was starting at 7:30 so we needed to get there before then so I could watch it. I needed to know who killed Lucy even though I kinda knew who it was! But we got there after half 7 & my uncle's had the Everton match on so I couldn't watch the start I was so annoyed! But I did catch the last half an hour. I'm not going to be able to watch the whole live show tonight as I'm going to the Elephant pub with Holly & Gabby for our free meal we won the other month from the pub quiz! Seriously tempted to take the iPad so I can watch it...

Anyone else as gripped as I am with EastEnders & expect the killer to be who it was?

Belated Pancakes

Belated Happy Pancake Day! I didn't get the chance to make pancakes yesterday so I made them for breakfast today instead. I did go through a faze at one point where I had pancakes pretty much everyday as I'd become the pancake queen & mastered how to make them & they're so easy, that they were just something I'd make for either breakfast or lunch. It is so simple just plain flour, an egg & milk!

60g Plain Flour
1 Egg
105ml Milk

Just weigh your floor then put your egg in, whisk then add milk till you get the consistency you want! I don't measure how much milk I put in I just know when it's right.

I love having pancakes with strawberry jam! I don't think I've ever had it with the traditional lemon & sugar... I had one with peanut butter as well as that's my new obsession lately I'm loving peanut butter with everything considering I never used to like it & have learnt to love it! Peanut butter on New York Bagel Co microwaved for 10 seconds are the best things ever can't get enough of them!

I only ended up with 3 pancakes with them measurements as the pan I was using was pretty big as you can see with the size of my pancake. But it's up to you how much you pour into the pan. You can double the weight of flour & use 2 eggs. I need to learn how to make the thick American ones I prefer them over crepes.

It really is so easy to make & so much cheaper than using them batter mixes!

Did you make any pancakes for pancake day? What do you have them with?

Golf Club

Today me & Danielle went to Woolton Golf Club as Kelly invited us to a family party they were having there as her dad is the captain. It was more of a family gathering that party.

Necklace - H&M
Top - Primark
Skirt - Zara
Cutout Boots - Zara

I say I like a lot of things but never end up buying it because it's too expensive & would rather wait for the sale & then either forget it's gone in the sale or it's sold out in my size. I fell in love with this skirt when I seen it on the mannequin in Zara in Rome but as much as I loved it couldn't pay £40 for it. It went on sale for £30 & I was like no it'll definitely go down more & I'll wait for it to go down more. I ended pay £15.99 for it but I knew it'd go down even more as there was still loads of sizes left. I ended rebuying it for £9.99 which is a bargain!  I also found out it has pockets as well which makes me love it even more but you need to unpick the seems!

Elliot is a bit of a nightmare child, he was so hyperactive & crazy. I'm not great with kids as it is then had to deal with this...
