Acropolis of Athens

Part 2 of Athens going to see the Acropolis! It's €20 if you just want to go the Acropolis but we got the €30 ticket which includes 6 other places. We got there for 10am and the queue wasn't too bad but not sure whether we went to the quieter entrance as there's 2. We went to the one by the Acropolis Museum. It was a really hot day with the best blue skies.

It was so sunny we didn't know what this picture looked like when we took it

The Odeon of Herodes Atticus

They do shows/concerts here but there was nothing on while we were in Athens.

It was quite empty and everything you read tells you to go early to avoid the crowds and then...

The best views of Athens up on the hill

It's amazing how this is built and on top of a giant hill. It didn't realise how big it was until you're there. I think this is my favourite place and has taken over the C
olosseum in Rome. How it's managed to still be standing and in such good condition. Don't get buildings like this now! I could have spent hours there taking millions of photos. Currently over 23,000 people visit it daily and they're looking at limiting it to 20,000 and to have time limits - not sure how that would work as once you're in you're just free to roam around.

I would definitely recommend and it's so worth going to see in Athens as the no 1 thing. The photos look amazing but they just don't do it justice as it's so much better there in person.
