Trying to look smart

Biker Coat - H&M
Bag - Zara
Tartan Scarf - Urban Outfitters
Necklace - H&M Kids
Cutout Boots - Zara

I had my induction today for my new job & got this dress from New Look thinking it's smart & business like so I should be ok to wear it. It has capped sleeves, the right length. Turns out nope we're not allowed to wear patterned things which I think it's really stupid considering they're not providing us with uniforms. The dress code is really strict which I don't think it should be since they're not providing it. I don't see what is wrong with this dress as if I worked in an office or business I would be fine to wear it & it's in the smart work wear section of the store. I know my boots maybe aren't the most professional looking with the cutout detailing & the buckles but really I don't understand why I can't get away with this outfit!

I've only worn this dress today but there's a rip at the bottom the seam has made a slit so I'm going to have to take it back. Not sure whether I want to exchange it as it's one of them annoying dresses that doesn't have elastic, a zip, or any form of opening making it really hard to get in & out of! The head isn't even that big either & that's the only way into it. Before you think the dress is too small for me which is why it's ripped it's not as the rip is at the bottom of the dress which has nothing to do with getting it on or off just bad stitching!

There's no place I'd rather be

Clean Bandit ft. Jess Glynne - Rather Be
Is the best song in a very long time! Greg James said the last 10 years which I think is about right. It's actually up there with The Killers - Mr Brightside which is my absolute favourite song, no other song even compares but this does come very very close so that's saying something! If you haven't heard it yet where have you been?! It's on every radio & is on course to being number 1 in the UK Top 40 today!

So on Friday night Danielle's uni house had a house party to celebrate the end of essays & exams of semester 1. It was actually the first time I've been to this house. It looks tiny & horrible from the outside but it's actually massive & not that bad! They all have an en suite which is good but weird that the kitchen is upstairs but it did used to be a shop downstairs with the house upstairs which makes sense.

I ALWAYS stand on the left no matter what (It's because I used to have a sweeping fringe that way so have decided that's my side) especially when I've put all my hair to that side as well I need to be on that side but Hannah decided it was her good side which meant I had to stand like this otherwise I'd have no hair. Surely everyone understands this!

Biker Coat - H&M
Cardi - New Look Kids
Lace Peter Pan Collar Top - Topshop
Gold Chain - Forever 21
Elasticated Belt - Mum's Vintage
Real Leather Skater Skirt - H&M
Cut Out Ankle Boots - Zara
Purple Fedora Hat - Danielle's H&M

Actually have bit of a life apart from going the gym everyday it seems! It wasn't much of a house party as you can see with all the photos we decided to take of ourselves... No-one we knew from our course turned up only Danielle's house mates, mates turned up.
We were drinking out of mugs proper students!

I'm still wanting a studded fedora hat but the H&M's in Liverpool just don't have the one I seen in Manchester which I don't get! & why did the Manchester one only have them in Large's? Not everyone has a massive head!

Hello it's been a while! I did eventually get all my essays done in time! I didn't leave the house for 8 days I was an actual herm going insane! All I did was sit in front of this laptop alllll day & night staying up till like 4:30am to get them done in time. I was so ill as I was so stressed, headache, eyes burning, feeling sick, covered in spots, couldn't get out of bed you name it I probably had it for the 2 weeks! I just couldn't wait to get rid of them!! I'm really hoping to finish with a 2:1 but after that hell of just wanting to get them done & out the way it's pretty unlikely... But at least they're done now & I can't do nothing about them apart from really trying harder this semester & not to leave stuff so last minute as I have 2 4,000 essays to do this time as well as most of my dissertation probably as I didn't have time to do anything over the Christmas break & my tutor didn't even send me my feedback to do till afterwards when I emailed him!

Uni aside as I still have another 3 days off I've been living in the gym going everyday since last Tuesday! Well I didn't go Sunday or today I went to YO! Sushi will Danielle to the Blue January offer which actually finishes tomorrow. I haven't seen Danielle since last Monday but that was only as we handed our essays in & that was it, she had a family meal to go to. We were meant to be away somewhere out of the country right now, from Sunday till tomorrow but that didn't happen sadly as we couldn't find somewhere within our budget or some place good for so last minute! I wish I was brave enough to get the plane on my own & stay in the apartment on my own, I could be in Spain by myself now!

I finally got myself a checked/tartan print scarf from the Urban Outfitters sale! It's a men's scarf but I'm not sure what guy would wear it... & It's quite short I think! It was only £4.50 which student discount & as it was my first order I got free delivery! But annoyingly the week after I got it they were doing an extra 20% off sale items which I missed out but ah well £4.50 is still a bargain from £18!

I finally watched Peter Pan for the first time ever yesterday, I didn't actually know what it was about till I was 15 which is funny because I'm just like him, I never want to grow up! I also watched Tangled the night before which I'm turning into Chinese Rapunzel with this hair... A few people have asked if it's real which I get slightly offended with as it is 100% all real which I grew myself! It's not that hard! I just watched Toy Story 3 recorded from Christmas before which was quite sad!

Gym again in the morning then to Danielle's house party to celebrate everyone else's exams & essays being handed in. It's been a while since I've had a good party! Also I got myself a new phone, which I got on New Years Eve but only started using it on Monday cos of my contract. It's the newer version of the one I did have the LG Nexus 4 so my photos look better! :)

I hate ice

I just want to say I'm sorry it's been a while! I've just been really busy working & uni & basically not having any nice new outfits to post about or have anything social due to being in work all the days I'm off uni or I'm at the gym!

So tonight for the first time in agessss I actually had a social life! Went ice skating which is part of the Liverpool One Ice Festival which has been going for a couple of years now up on Chavasse Park & went to Nando's for food for Sarah from uni's 21st.

Mango & Lime Chicken Breast Filet Pitta with a corn on the cob

I'm not fussed really over xmas but it does make everywhere look nicer with fairy lights!
Jumper - Topshop
Gold Chain Necklace - Forever 21
White longsleeve top - Primark
Leather look leggins - H&M
Biker Coat - H&M
Grey Snood - Knitted by my nan but wool from B&M
Leather Cut out boots - Zara
Bag - Zara

I seriously wasted £7.95 going ice skating as I was being a proper whimp! I couldn't let go of the side I think I can kinda skate but I'm just too scared to fall over! It didn't help that the ice was really wet & slippy, with people whizzing round showing off as well. I hated it & don't think I'll be going again it was like my 4th time doing it as well! We then went to Nando's after the 45 min ice torture session! I don't see the hype over Nando's.. To me it's just chicken? I guess maybe cos I don't like spicy food but still I think they're better & nicer food!

I'm a bit sad as you'll know I really really want a pair of Timberland boots! So when I seen on facebook that the Timberland shop in Metquarter had 30% off I pretty much ran there after my 4-5 lecture to try get myself a pair! But sadly they didn't have any junior 5.5 or 6s in & couldn't even order me any to be delivered to my house!! I kinda felt like crying but the guy was so nice & helpful! I want junior as they're half the price for the exact same boot which are comfier the guy said so there's no point paying double the price when I can get them cheap!
I also like the reddish brown pair which they sadly don't do in junior size but I don't mind the original wheat coloured ones. Maybe it's just not meant to be as I've been wanting a pair for yearssss & still don't own a pair :'( The sad thing is that the 30% was from Thursday till today which is why they've sold out which I knew earlier!!

Preparing for the Winter chill

Zara

Price isn't available for some reason on the website but this is the link to it here

WAXED COTTON PARKA - £69.99

I think this is my favourite coat from the Zara collection but it's expensive for just a simple waxed jacket!

SHEEPSKIN DOUBLE BREASTED JACKET - £69.99

MOTORCYCLE JACKET WITH ZIPS - £69.99

I'm loving the quilted shoulders on leather jackets & really need to invest in one!

Marks & Spencer

M&S Collection Off Centre Zip Mid Length Biker Coats - £55

This is a reasonable price for a coat but it's a bit plain & boring. I like the button detail on biker coats like the one above or below

M&S Collection Double Breasted Bouclé Biker Coat with Wool - £89

Indigo Collection Pure Cotton Waxy Jacket - £59

Topshop

HOODED LIGHTWEIGHT JACKET - £60

This is the navy blue one but they also do it in a khaki green & black. You can also get a waxed version that looks very similar but that's £68 & I don't think it looks as nice

LONGLINE LEATHER-LOOK WOOL BIKER - £75

QUILTED BIKER JACKET - £58

I really want a coloured leather jacket. I'm a bit bored of my black one now! I really want a green one but haven't found one I like sadly I have set my eyes on a Balmain real leather one which I'm never going to get :(

Mango

When I seen this jacket I instantly fell in love with it. At first I wasn't keen on suede jackets but this is just perfect. I love the style as it has the quilted shoulders & the zip detailing. If I could make this even more perfect I'd make the collar bigger. As I'm not too keen on no collared jackets.

Think this is my favourite jacket out of them all as it's real leather & studded! Just the perfect jacket for me apart from the price tag :( Even though I'd easily wear it double the times of the price tag!

Asos

Warehouse Longline Biker Coat - £95
ASOS Coat With Leather Look Sleeves - £75

ASOS Leather Collar Cotton Biker Coat - £95
ASOS Wool Biker Coat With Leather Collar - £55
Only size 14 left meant to be £110
I love these two jackets sadly the one on the left only has size 14 left which is waaaay too big for me! & £95 is really stretching it even if I will wear it everyday!

I hope you like the collection of coats I've found & like for the Winter season which is fast approaching us in the UK sadly. The tights are going to be dug out soon & the white Converse buried away! :(

I also really want a Barbour jacket, a waxed one in particular but the price tag just doesn't fit my bank balance at all! & I couldn't put myself through putting a picture as it'll just make me even more sad that I can't afford one!
