Danielle text me this morning saying Loveable Rouges were playing in Sefton Park for Liverpool's first International Music Festival which replaces the Mathew Street festival which has been going on for the past 20 years on August bank holiday weekend. This is so much better as they had a free stage at Sefton Park, one in town (also free) & one at the Pier Head but you needed a wristband which was only £20! They had JLS, Little Mix, Eliza Doolittle, Stooshe, Diana Vickers, Union J & others then on Sunday Texas, Nina Nesbitt, The Saturdays, Chelcee Grimes & others! Mathew Street festival had a lot of stages around the city centre but the artists weren't big names. They had tribute bands like The Fillers (The Fillers) tributes for Kings of Leon, Lady Gaga & other tribute artists who are just as the actual bands, Liverpool's own artists that haven't made it big yet.

We got there & Loveable Rogues had already started so we sadly missed their first song but we did hear our favourites, What A Night & Love Sick. They were so good I really want to see them live properly & have been saying for ages!! But they're not touring Liverpool yet sadly! Rebecca Ferguson was really good, I've seen her before when she did her home coming on X-Factor at the Echo Arena. During her performance there was 40,000 people in Sefton Park!! Also DJ Dev was really good,  he had everyone jumping & dancing to his set!
I think I took some really good photos. It was the first outing for my camera! I did take a lot more & some videos but obviously I can't upload them all!

It was a really good day I really enjoyed it, I thought it was a great success & really wish I bought a wristband for Saturday to see JLS but I was in work so wouldn't have been able to go! Hopefully they carry on doing it for the years to come after how well it has gone this year & especially with the amazing weather too! I don't think it was too good for me as I was either really dehydrated or had heat stroke at one point cos I was so tired couldn't stop yawning, everything was going hazy & I thought I was going to collapse! I sat down for a bit then was fine luckily!
Today wasn't the end of the festival there is still so much more going on for the rest of the month & next month! Just go on the LIMF website here to see what else there is.

Me & Danielle decided to walk home as the bus was packed & wasn't worth it! I predicted it would take us around an hour to walk but it took us 1hr 15mins which I thought was ok I enjoyed the walk!
I hope you had a good bank holiday weekend. Did you go to the festival to see any acts? Planning on going to any of the other events?
It's my birthday tomorrow sadly which means on paper I'm a year older but physically & mentally there's no change at all!
